CONTENT:
Analyze EITHER some personal experience (event, encounter, or relationship) OR the description of an event, encounter, or relationship based on a newspaper or magazine article using concepts from ONE of the following TWO content areas in social psychology.

A. Aggression
B. Pro-Social Behavior.

Intergovernmental Public Manager

Goal: This paper describes the career, attitudes, and strategies of a public manager with significant intergovernmental tasks in his or her job. The student must choose the public manager who is the subject of this paper. The main idea for this paper is to offset the course readings with practical examples and observations of “real-world” success in the world of intergovernmental management.

compare and contrast sahel and swahili coast

Compare and contrast the types and organization of trade, human settlement,
Islam, and political organization in the Sahel and along the Swahili coast (including
northwest Madagascar) to about 1500 CE. In what ways were these similar and different
in the two areas? Your essays should include discussion of linkages in each of these two
areas between the forest and the desert, for the Sahel, and the hinterland (including Great
Zimbabwe) and the Indian Ocean, for the Swahili coast. In what ways are the patterns of history in these two regions similar and divergent?

Health status of Canadian aboriginals

As discussed in class, aboriginal peoples experience a profound burden of ill health that has resulted in health status that is significantly below that of the larger Canadian population. Using information you collect, and drawing on the knowledge you have already gained from this class about health and illness of aboriginals in Canada, your paper should contain the following components:

Intermediate Accounting

Max Stevenson owns a local drug store. During the past few years, the
economy has experienced a period of high inflation. Stevenson has had
the policy of withdrawing cash from his business equal to 80% of the
company’s reported net income. As the business has grown, he has had a
CPA prepare the company’s financial statements and tax returns. The
following is a summary of the company’s income statement for the

higher prices for its inventory as the company tried to maintain the
same quantity and quality of its goods. For example, last year’s cost
of goods sold had a historical cost of $250,000 and a replacement cost
of $295,000. The current year’s cost of goods sold has a replacement
of $440,000. Stevenson’s personal cash outflows have also grown faster
than his withdrawals from the company due to increasing personal
demands. Stevenson asks you as a financial advisor how the company can have
income of $60,000 yet he and the company still have a shortage of
cash.5-62. “The Secret of Cash Flow Patterns”Kara Nemrow, a security analyst for Primer Mead & Co., asserts that
she can tell more about a company’s financial condition by looking at
the trends of the negative or positive cash flows in the 3 categories
than from other information found in the financial statements. She
illustrates her theory with the following pattern of cash flows for

Educational Psychology

Suggested approach to this task:
i. Identify a specific need for assessment instrument in specific area of psychology
• Select an area of psychology (e.g., organisational, clinical, counselling, educational, forensic, sport, health, geriatric etc.)
• Identify who needs to be assessed on what? And why?
• What will be the original contribution of your instrument to the field?

ii. Design an original assessment instrument to achieve this specific purpose
• What form of assessment (e.g., test, questionnaire, observational checklist, interview schedule…) would be most suitable for this purpose, and why?
• Construct an item bank (or equivalent)
• Refine item bank (or equivalent)
• Refine presentation of instrument. Consider length, clarity, ease of use, scoring system, instructions for administrators and test-takers (as applicable).

iii. Write report on development & evaluation of instrument.
You should include the following information:
• Brief background to the area in which you are working, sufficient to orient a non-expert
• Rationale for developing your instrument, explaining the reasons behind the decisions that you have made in the design process.
• Description of the process you went through to develop your instrument
• Discussion of psychometric properties of your instrument, including reliability, validity, normative data, interpretation of scores and usefulness of the instrument. You should identify which aspects of these are relevant to your instrument, how you would assess their adequacy (or how you have assessed their adequacy), your proposed strategy for modifying your instrument in response to this assessment (or actual modifications made in response to assessment).
• Ethical considerations associated with the use of your instrument.
• Reference list.
• Please append your instrument along with any additional instructions necessary to use it.

Nature and nurture shape our personalities

Although some people believe that personalities are influenced by nurture while others believe that personalities are influenced by nature, but it is a combination of both nature and nurture that shape our personalities.

Compose an argumentative Research Paper of 1,200-1,500 words in which you argue for a position on an issue chosen by you (see thesis above).
Note 1: For this assignment, you may not use “I.” Write in 3rd person (using 3rd person pronouns such as he, she, it, one, they, and them).

Procedure: In your first paragraph, you should include, in addition to your introductory sentences (in which you try to get the reader’s attention), a clear, precise, and specific statement of your position on the topic. This sentence is called a thesis statement. Each paragraph of the body of your paper should present evidence supporting your thesis. The evidence should be arranged from least most important to most important. Usually you will present evidence by simply referring to or paraphrasing ideas from an outside source. Sometimes you may wish to quote from a source, but do this rarely, and your quotations under 40 words. The outside sources should not dominate in the paper; remember, you are using them to support your own ideas and opinions.

Number of Outside Sources: You are expected to use a minimum of FOUR outside sources, Of course, you may certainly use more than the minimum number. These sources must be of at least THREE different types— e.g., a magazine article, a newspaper article, and a book; or an Internet article, and an essay from a collection of essays. (These examples are hypothetical; the number of possible combinations is large.)
