How can we account for the rise and growing role of multinational enterprises from the Asia Pacific in the global economy? Specify your reasons using corporate cases of multinationals from different industries and different countries of origin.

Please note that when you are analyzing, for example, Japanese multinationals in the electronics industry, your comparisons do not have to be limited to Japanese rivals. Comparisons with Asia Pacific and European multinationals may be more apt and useful. The same point applies to Korea, Chinese and Taiwanese firms. Consider too a number of perspectives, including the aims of Japanese multinationals in relation to global strategies; the aims of Korean and Chinese multinationals and international business strategies; differences between industries and types of business; the degree of global versus regional control, and changes in operational control over time; the competitive advantages of these multinationals compared to those of rivals; variations in management, organization, and operations between home country and host nations; the ability of Japanese, Korean and Chinese multinationals to compete in Europe, Asia and North America, and their ability to adapt to changes in policy and markets; and the policies of host governments and the relevance of the EU.
Analysis

1. What is the question, and how do you provide a precise answer? What is your overall response, and then what analytical structure will you adopt to substantiate your stated view?

2. When did the firm/industry move towards FDI? Where did the investment go? Are there differences in FDI patterns with other industries or countries? How and when did a firm become an MNE or TNC? Why did firms decide to become multinationals? What therefore was their strategy or motivation? Entry mode? Are differences in strategy and capabilities because timing of FDI, because manufacturers are unlike services, or because multinationals come from different countries? To what extent are choices and decisions related to existing FDI theories and approaches? Have firms, industries or nations been market, efficiency, resource or asset seeking? Are there different patterns in the timing, location, strategy and entry mode of multinationals from different nations?

3. How did MNEs, once they have decided to ‘multinational-ize’, succeed as multinationals? What O advantages, capabilities or resources did they possess to succeed, or what advantages, capabilities or resources did they need to acquire or develop when ‘multinational-izing’? Does the case fit the OLI or the LLL framework better?
(a) Production and operations? Management of global production chains, or SCM?
(b) R&D, innovation?
(c) Brand, design, product, and marketing? Distribution networks or relations?
(d) Management skills and experience? Human resource management skills, training?
(e) Building external networks and client relations, in host economies, as in service industry?
(f) Access to resources such as finance and capital? Or key supplies?

(g) Management and organization. To what extent have strategic needs evolved after the act of FDI, and how is this related to management, organisation, levels of centralization, decentralization, or regionalization? Employment of expatriates v locals? Usefulness of FDI theories and approaches?

(h) Role of government in stimulating inward FDI, and allowing and supporting outward FDI? Notion of institutional advantage? Political economy and macro-economic perspectives in FDI theories and approaches?

(i) Conclusion. AP multinationals have some common characteristics that have allowed them to compete globally and in Europe, alongside companies from North America and Europe? Or differences between AP nations fundamental? Or differences between industries more important? Or general trends in 1980s, 1990s, or since 2000 show similar pattern over time?

literature review

Submit a comprehensive literature review presenting an analysis* of current expert thought on a question of your choice exploring a contemporary health issue. It should be either an article that could be sent to a health journal for possible publication, or an edited draft of the literature review chapter of a research thesis.
*This means you must provide your own analyses and syntheses of the literature. This task requires more than the summaries of individual articles. If you are unclear about this instruction, go back to the relevant learning materials in the unit and revise.

Comments:
Ola you seem confused as to the requirements of this assignment

You are required to investigate a research question using a review of the published literature. You have given a clear outline of a research question that is appropriate and relevant for a literature review. However yu then go on to outline factors that you would need to consider for a research or clinical trial. You are not doing a clinical trial so this is not relevant to this assignment.

Please contact Yoni so she can give you more detailed feedback on this assignment and the requirements for assignment 2

Ola, I support Gina’s feedback and grade to you on this assignment. My advice is that you focus on the clinical research question you set up, and use the PICO framework to produce your literature review, so that at the end of the day you are able to make some clear recommendations for practice and patient education. So as you prepare for you final assignment, remember to follow the guidelines in the unit, stay focused on your research question. It is always a good idea to print it off in large print so you can see and keep in mind what you are writing to. I also suggest you have a good look at the Evidence based nursing journals for some guidance on how authors work the literature to answer clinical questions.
go well with your final assignment, we look forward to seeing you integrate this feedback. It is possible to make up the ground, as you think and write well. But focus is your challenge.

Personal System of Discipline

Guideline Sheet for Personal System of Discipline Assignment
NOTE: This paper is REALLY important. You should revise it after it is graded and save it for your Student Teaching portfolio!
1. This 10 page paper with a bibliography of at least 8 sources (one of which may be the textbook) is to be written INDIVIDUALLY. It should be submitted to Turnitin no later than 1/13/16. See the instructions on how to do this on Blackboard.

2. 25% of the grade for this assignment will be based on its writing and APA format effectiveness. It must be error-free to earn the full 25 credits. Please be sure to include an introduction to the paper, transitions between each section, and a conclusion at the end of the paper. The introduction should include details about the class and students for whom the System of Discipline is being written (i.e. grade level, ICT class, typical behaviors, etc.). Proofread the paper for spelling, typographical and grammatical errors. We strongly advise that you consult the APA format guidelines in the course outline. Make use of the Academic Center, if at all possible.

3. 25% of the grade for this assignment will be based on a Preventive Discipline section. This section should discuss ways that you will prevent discipline problems from occurring in the classroom that it has created (all details about the classroom should be in the paper’s introduction). For instance, what kind of teacher will you be (i.e. democratic, pragmatic, assertive, lead, backbone or constructivist?), will your students be involved in determining the rules and consequences in the class, will there be parent involvement, will you set up the classroom structure in such a way that will be helpful, will you use See, Say, Do Teaching, will you have a First Day of School Action Plan, etc. You should choose a variety of theories and methods that will cause students to naturally behave well. This section should be no less than 3 pages and should cite research.

4. 25% of the grade for this assignment will be based on a Supportive Discipline section. This section should discuss ways that you will support good behavior in the classroom it has created. For instance, will you use encouragement or praise, escape mechanisms, body language, incentive systems, Preferred Activity Time, support buddies, class meetings, the 4 class virtues, student/parent contracts, etc. You should choose a variety of theories and methods that will acknowledge the positive behavior of the students, so that it will continue. This section should be no less than 3 pages and should cite research.

5. 25% of the grade for this assignment will be based on a Corrective Discipline section. This section should discuss ways that you will manage misbehavior when it occurs. For instance, will you use punishment, negative consequences, logical consequences, a discipline hierarchy, self-diagnostic referrals, efficient help, group concern, omission training, moving in or out, etc. You should choose a variety of theories and methods that will eliminate the negative behavior of the students, so that it will continue. This section should be no less than 3 pages and should cite research.
Note: It is HUGELY important that you use theory-specific terminology in all of the sections of the paper, and that appropriate sources are cited. Over-using the textbook will result in significant point deduction. Bold all terms (e.g., Preferred Activity Time).

Amores peruse might be seen as an extended allegory of the neoliberal transformation/monetising of Mexico’s economy with the creation the North American Free Trade Association and the temporary eclipse of the Partido de la revolution institutional (PRI).

n

Discuss how Gonzalez Inarritu’s film illustrates this thesis using precise details of the film to support your argument.

Think about
Firstly – judge what has the film to do with neoliberalism…
reflecting what neoliberalism?
Consider there is a question on how do we tell stories, which in some ways are not really formed yet. You can’t take a picture of the economic system.
You might be able to take pictures of the consequence.

Look at the opening scene of the car case

Look at the characters of how and what they could reflect – the man with the dogs/ might reflect the ghost of the past of the radicalism / the boy represents of the criminal informal economy – dog fight / the model represent as the new/fashion not industrial economy….

all the stories are linked into the crash.

Crash is also used as economic cash – metaphor –

the dogs are some kind of currency –

drama is about conflict – but it also about changing –

looking on to the ending how does it end how does it effect.

is there an allegory? consider that!
is this film might echo

the cash of privation
the crash of deregulation
the cash of new economies

Is Streaming good or bad??

Is streaming good or bad, how it is and then narrow it down to music industry. Is it good or bad in the long run. Are the artists benefiting from it or not. Are they generating enough revenue to meet all their expenses. Which method is going to be used and critically discuss about that why that method and for what purpose. Lot of references would be ideal. look at Soundcloud, their problems at the moment. Spotify a great success. Apple music recently launched and how are they going to overcome the existing competiton. Tidal is a great failure and why is it so. Other companies like Pandora in US Kindly refer this website www.rethink-music.com which would serve a great purpose, where they have conducted conferences with regards to this.Literature part for this topic is uploaded and kindly have a look the literature part and work accordingly. What method would be used as best and ideal one for this type and why is it used.Diagrams, graphs or any type of charts would serve as great resource.

This feedback I got from the Dr. on regards of the work needed to be edited please ASAP.. This work is lacking an extensive examination of some theory and models (as well as there application) and above all the work is lacking a degree of critical analysis – all you have written is very positive and accepting of strategy – which given the nature of my classes you will know that noone strategic mind set , theory or school of thought can be universally applied and even more so given the global divergences we see in todays dynamic business world! You are asked : 1) To complete this task successfully you will need to gather data about the organisation (that you must have sufficient knowledge of that organisation to enable them to successfully address the assignment tasks. This was very poorly researched and cited) and its environment, and to apply relevant theory to that data. You have to a degree in your opening covered an overview of strategy with a focus on the analytical and rationale schools and no mention of other school / theories – see you SMP reader. 2) In applying relevant theory to the data You have applied PESTLE, SWOT and 5 forces – with no mention of other theory and no critical assessment of why you have applied only thesethree! -three rather simplistic and what can be seen as highly critical choices at this level of work! 3) you should develop a critical line of reasoning insupport of your argument – this is lacking! 4) What actions would you recommend the organisation takes? What would be a strategy statement that summarised those actions? – requires greater justification and related to theory. 5). What would be the key elements of a performance management system to develop the strategy? – needs developing but overall its a good attempt. myemail sent to all yesterday… Dear MA students. I have had the pleasure over the past week or so of reading overone ortwo drafts of your assessment for this Unit and as general comment -Please note this may not apply to all – see the below points: 1: There is a lack of reading and critical assessment with regards to the area of strategy, strategic management and the theory, models (tools) that have been applied in the work seen. 2: Below is a list of the reading you was expected to do for this unit. Many of which will form the basis of a good reference list and or citations – in some of the work read so far – there is a total absence of this work – even if only in a bibliography! Also please note on pagetwo of your SMP reader it was stated: Europe best selling strategy textbook. Exploring corporate Strategy (Johnson et al 2008). As a starting point I found little evidence it had even been consulted in some of the work read 3: Student have used their own choice of companies as case studies – which is acceptable, However, some of the work has not even bothered to search the literature to see if there is any specific and relevant strategic literature relevant to that industry. For example if examining a organization in the finance industry, the retail industry or the service sector or manufacturing – I would expect to see some overview and critic of the work / research done in that area to date and some comparison to the mainstream strategic management literature. 4: Note a key line from the assessment (copied below): ‘and to apply relevant theory to that data. In applying relevant theory to the data you should develop a critical line of reasoning insupport of your argument’ Please note using (only) SWOT, PEST and 5 Forces – without some form of critical reasoning as to why they are suitable and why these at the expense of other theory / models will not produce high quality work for this assessment at this level of studies. Assignment Details This assignment is based on the company ao.com. Students may choose an alternative organisation but they must have sufficient knowledge of that organisation to enable them to successfully address the assignment tasks. To complete this task successfully you will need to gather data about the organisation and its environment, and to apply relevant theory to that data. In applying relevant theory to the data you should develop a critical line of reasoning insupport of your argument. The task hasfour elements reflected in the questions below and together should form a coherent piece of work. 1. What are the strategic issues facing the organisation? 2. What goals should the organisation be setting? 3. What actions would you recommend the organisation takes? What would be a strategy statement that summarised those actions? 4. What would be the key elements of a performance management system to develop the strategy? Additional Information Your answer should be in the region of 5000 words in length. There is no prescribed format for the assignment but a report format is probably the most suitable. The submission should cite appropriate academic sources and data sources. Sources of data tosupport your arguments should be cited but it is not necessary to attach copies of raw data as appendices. Appendices should be used tosupport arguments made in the document and will not attract marks in their own right.

Business Report

1) I need the Report in a Word format. With a Trebuchet MS font, size 11. With a space of 1cm between lines. It has to be at least 2500 words.
2) The report is about a business, you can choice the business you want. But it has to be a British company and YOU HAVE TO CONFIRM IT WITH ME. (This are some ideas; Tesco, John Lewis, Mark and Spenser, British Airways…)
3) Please read carefully the instructions. I will send it later by email.
4) References has to be in the Harvard way.
5) The instructions of the essay i prefer send it by email in a PDF.

What is your perspective on the outcome of the study described? Do you agree or disagree with the reported results?

According to this study, is treatment for adult depression effective in a managed care environment? Explain your answer; why or why not?
