Scholarship essay:
Why should I get this scholarship?
1. Early childhood struggles to becoming someone one day:
• Speak about upbringing as an illegal immigrant and having no hope to continue my education.
• Struggles moving to a new country and adapting to my new surroundings
• Losing hope because of the misfortune of not being able to fix my legal situation and being with my hands tied.
• Contemplating taking the wrong way through life because the right way wasn’t working.
2. Speaking about the day that changed me and showed me the true meaning to life:
• Give a detailed run down of the day I almost lost my life and the old me died so the new me could start over.
• The cross road of my life when it came to changing the whole idea of the rest of my life.
• New ray of hope that shinned down in my life when it came to my legal status and me being able to become a well respected professional that I always wanted to be.
• The steps I took to move forward with my new life and fixing my legal situation with this new Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (also known “DACA”) that President Barrack Obama passed and how it affected my whole family and my life.
3. First real semester of college as a new ambitious me:
• Having to work 2 jobs to afford only 9 out state tuition credits because of my legal status.
• Not loosing hope to becoming the best nurse and future nurse practitioner possible.
• Moving to a new area to concentrate on what really matters in my life to me. (Family and my future away from the negative energy around me)
4. New city, new experiences, new me and many more new obstacles to getting to my mission accomplished:
• Moving to Atlanta and going to campus to start the process.
• Finding out I couldn’t afford school once again bc of my legal status and having to take another semester off and put my future on hold again. (US Immigration system SUCKS!)
• Having to work 2 to 3 jobs again to be able to pay the spring semester of 2016 bc I still can’t get in state tuition or Fasfa even though I have been here long enough. (DACA only allows you to stay in the US legally but it doesn’t help any when it comes to the education system)

I am doing MPhil and PhD as you know I have to do an upgrade meeting If I want to transfer to PHD level.
Until now I did write around 12 thousand words I submitted it for upgrade meeting unfortunately I did not pass. The examiner gave me the suggestion and comments about my work and offering me another chance and it is the last chance for me. I am under the risk If I do not pass I have to withdraw from the program, If I could pass by meeting what they suggest I will able to work with you for more than three years until I finish from PHD .

Now I need your help to work with their suggestion and comments and write any new thing you think it is important and change or delete or reschedule any subject.

I will submit my file work which they ask me to submit it again maximum 10 thousand words.
I will submit the feedback from the examiner under the name(Upgrade report) and I will submit my supervisor feedback and comments about the examiner’s report under the name (written feedback from my supervisoer)
I will submit the latest articles related to my subject especially the definition of blended learning under the name (Articles).
I will submit the latest thesis related to my subject and you can have a look to it and it will help you for example (The Saudi culture and framework the Saudi policy and learning system.

I do not you to write everything in once time what I want you to do is understand my file and report file and make a plane for what are you going to write and change and the new hidings for the chapters then I will ask my supervisor about it as I have meeting next Wednesday If he agree about your plan I will let you know then you can start.

What I am think is that the report is really helpful and guidance for upcoming work.

Research question and sub questions
Does working in a group improve the interest of the subject for the pupils?
• Do lessons where pupils work in groups improve the level of achievement for pupils over lessons where there is no or less group work?
• Do lessons where pupils work in groups improve their behaviour and engagement over lessons where there is no or less group work?

Why I have made the above choices

The classes I have been to, show more enthusiasm for the subject when working in a group rather than working individually. Younger students seem more eager to get involved when working as part of a team. Students cause disruptions when they work alone and although there are disruptions when students work as a team, it tends to be more about the subject rather than something unrelated. I will compare the levels of disruptions in classes with individual work and classes with group work. I will also ask the students questions after the class to see how they feel about working alone or as part of a team.

My aim is to get the students interested in the subject. I think this will help create a more positive classroom climate and it will also lead to improved grades.

This is a Doctoral research for an applied dissertation. It is quantitative study and quantitative study should only be mentioned in the statement of the problem section.
Please use the following format from (Nova Southeastern University)format which does not include a running head
-research site is Lyons Creek Middle school which is located in Broward county, Florida. The school statistics should be about two paragraphs.
The format of the study is written in the following order:
-Introduction about 2 paragraphs (which should have a great opening statement and may include details about research that relates to disabilities in general education teachers and their requirements when accommodating students with disabilities, etc

-Background Justification-2-3 pages
-Research problem 2 pages
-Deficiencies in evidence-1 page
-Audience 1/2 page
-Definition of terms-depends on how many terms
-Purpose of study 1/2 page (This is the last section of the paper before the references page )
A conclusion and recommendation section is not required.
-Most References are within 5 year time period, except for when referencing material like background and justification and or deficiencies in evidence etc. (A good 10 minimum references)

Your final paper in this course will present your own customized theory of human learning and development. Everyone operates with a theory of what makes the best learning environment and how people grow and develop. The problem is that most education professionals’ theories are neither well-informed nor articulated clearly. Thus, for this paper, you will articulate your idea of the best learning environment and support it by using the theoretical perspectives of what defines the best of in education. This assignment will be completed in 2 stages: an annotated bibliography and a final paper. Your finished paper will give you a conceptual framework from which to draw strategies and practices for the success of all parties involved in the teaching-learning process.

The paper must be 8 pages: 6 pages for the body, 1 cover page, and 1 references page. It must use at least 8 references and include a solid biblical basis for your theory. If you have more than 1 page of references after meeting your 8-page content requirement, be assured that points will not be deducted.

You may find it useful to focus on the educational area in which you intend to serve (high school, gifted, ADHD, etc.). Information for your educational theory can be found throughout all the activities completed during this course. Your resources must include both of your textbooks.

Throughout the paper, it is essential that you demonstrate your understanding of the readings and course work. You will be graded on how well you integrate 1 or more of the theories studied in this course; your theory must be unified and congruent. You must design your paper by using the following headings:

II. Learning Theory and Its Importance
III. Description of an Effective Teacher and Learning Environment (Be sure to include discussions of direct instruction, technology, motivation, classroom management. See below.)

You are required to submit an individual reflective portfolio which must demonstrate how you have developed during this course. Your portfolio must include the following: • A short reflection on the importance of this topic for you future career • What did you learn from the group work • Identify what weaknesses you need to address to achieve your set score
No references are required in the portfolio.
