Critically discuss how the design of the organisation might modify the potential intervention of managing change. (1750-2000 words)
• To consider if there is a relationship between organisation design and mode of organisational change.
• It will be suggested there are two ideal types of organisation design :mechanistic and organic, and two models of change :continuous and revolutionary.
•It will be suggested that relationship may exist between organic design and continuous change and also between mechanistic and revolutionary design.
• First look at the two ideal designs and discuss the relationship each may have the model of change.
• it will comment that there is a mode towards the organic form and recommending that this design should be encouraged.
