Paper instructions:
Advice for Assignment Completion – How Should I tackle This Assignment?

On this module we have covered a range of forms of social exclusion which impact children/adolescents experiencing mental health difficulties. As well as addressing stigmatisation of mental health you will also need to choose another form of exclusion which often contributes to the overall experience of being a young person with psychological problems. For example, you could choose one or more kinds of exclusion from the following list:
Gender
Sexuality
Race
Class
Disability
Geographical exclusion (e.g. rural Vs urban)
The guideline advice that you will be devising and justifying in this assignment is intended for practitioners. It is entirely up to you which kind practitioners you will be aiming the advice at. Your advice might be quite general so that it could be used by, for example doctors, nurses, educators, mental health workers and so on. However, you may choose to develop your advice for a specific kind of practitioner only. This assignment should be written using an essay format and should follow general conventions for essay writing.
Example of a Good Assignment
Below is an example of a good essay for this assignment. This student did not choose to write the guidelines separately from the main body of the essay but you can do so if you would prefer in your own assignment. I would strongly encourage you to read this example so that you can get a sense of what this assignment requires.

literature in the Hebrew Scriptures

Topic: Now that you have read selections from the Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings, which group (kings, priests, or prophets) do you think ends up “on top” in the end? And Why?
Paper instructions:
Over the course of our term, we have talked about the various strains of literature in the Hebrew Scriptures and how, depending on who may have authored the material, different roles are shown as the mediators between God and humanity. We saw texts that asserted that the kings were to be the intercessors, others that claimed priests and still others that showed prophets. For this response, being careful to not look past the compilation of the TANAK, you will make an argument about which group ultimately ends up as the most important in the completed Hebrew Scriptures: kings, priests, or prophets. Now that you have read selections from the Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings, which group (kings, priests, or prophets) do you think ends up “on top” in the end? And Why?

In order to qualify to receive full credit for this response, you must cite the biblical material AT LEAST three times; once from the Torah, once from the Nevi’im, and once from the Kethuvim. You must also cite Coogan at least once. You may, of course, cite more, but more importantly, you must prove to me that you have read the material and are grappling with the concepts.

You have 600 words this time. Responses over the 600 word limit will loose points—responses under 550 words will loose points. This Final Response will constitute 20% of your course grade.
All syllabus parameters apply:

Final Response
I will post the prompt for the Final Response after our last class meeting. The Final Response will
be worth 20% of your course grade. Like the other responses it will be online. Unlike the other
responses, everyone MUST complete this response or receive a zero for 20% of the course grade.

Biodiversity in Afghanistan

Topic: Biodiversity in Afghanistan
Paper instructions:
Your paper should follow APA format. The title page, abstract, and list of references do not count towards the total page count.
Your supporting sources may only include primary literature (i.e., scientific journals) and citations must follow APA format. Excelsior College Library provides access to various journals covering issues in biodiversity.

The area I would like to write about for my term paper is Biodiversity in Afghanistan. The reason that I would like to examine this area is because I am here to visually see the scale of the problem and assist the organizations that provide solutions to tackle the problem. The evidence of environmental changes due to war and overuse of land for agricultural means are visually present in my surrounding outside my Camp. Daily living by the Afghans has made me more appreciative of my environment. My term paper will also reference how sanctions and the presence of our government have contributed to biodiversity here. I also want to address the diminishing number of species. My proposed title will be “Biodiversity in Afghanistan”.
