This is a Masters of Special Education course assignment on Collaboration.
Determine a social skill that you will teach to the entire class while considering the social skill deficit of a student you have identified as needing social skill training. Specifically, the student you select with your mentor teacher should be a child or youth whose IEP includes a behavior, social and/or emotional goal. The social skill you choose should be one that will benefit this student and can be reinforced by his/her peers.
I will upload my collaboration interview with my mentor teacher, as well as the IEP of the student I am working with and a word document with detailed instructions on this assignment.
