media

You should find an article, video or website that relates to a topic. The topic is the new developments in video games. After reviewing the article, video or website, write a paragraph or so describing the item and another 2-3 paragraphs explaining how it relates to the media and why you think it is interesting, or significant. Then post your paragraphs–with an embedded, active link.

3. Determine Media Strategy

Media mix and vehicle selection (paid media)
• Media choice
• Specific vehicle choice
• Scheduling, Reach and Frequency (GRPs, TARPs, ERPs)
• Costs (CPMs, CPP etc)
Media mix & strategy for owned media
• Media and vehicle choice
• Scheduling, Reach and Frequency
• Cost equivalencies if possible
Media mix & strategy for earned media
• Media and vehicle choice
• Scheduling, Reach and Frequency
• Cost equivalencies if possible

4. Detail Decisions in Media Flowchart

Create Media Schedule:
Detail monthly spending, media distribution via specific vehicles and attainment of objectives of paid, owned and earned media

media critique

find an example of numbers or data being misused or misrepresented with relation to politics in one of the following news outlets: Independent, Telegraph, Guardian, Daily Mail, BBC, Evening Standard, Metro, The Times. The example must be from the last month (ie 3 November-3 December). Problems could include, but are not limited to: graphs, polling results, and discussions of research and reports.

In 500 words, explain how the news article misrepresents or misreports numbers. How might this misuse of numbers have affected the reader’s view of the issue being discussed?

Website Migration Project

Tony’s Chips has recently been sold to a new independent company. The new company has hired you to manage a project that will move the old Website from an externally hosted solution to an internal one. The company’s leadership is very concerned about redundancy for their site, insisting that a back-up site be available as a failover in case the main site goes down. In addition, they want the site redesigned to allow customers to order products online.

As part of your job, you must complete a 10-to-15 page paper that follows this project through the system development life cycle (SDLC). This assignment will require you to do the following:

Discuss what it will take to build a Web architecture, move an existing Website with minimal downtime, and provide a disaster recovery solution to ensure the site is always available.
The Web architecture should describe and justify operating system choices (i.e., Linux, Apache, MYSQL, PHP, Windows, IIS, SQL, etc.).
Evaluate alternatives to the company self-hosting the site.
Build a Gantt chart using Microsoft Project or equivalent software, showing all tasks associated with implementing the Website.
The chart should include a minimum of five (5) tasks, each with three (3) sub-tasks.
Explain and justify the system architecture you have selected.
Illustrate the system architecture using Visio or equivalent software.
Create a use case that documents the event of a customer ordering a bag of chips from the new Website.
The use case should include a graphical representation using Visio or equivalent software and a text description of the events.
Discuss the support operations that the internally hosted Website will require after implementation.
Explain how you will evaluate the performance of the new site and the success of your project.

Research, review and compare the following social networking sites: LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram

Social media has become a ubiquitous part of the internet. Since Facebook started in
Harvard University in 2004, social networking continues to grow hugely and was used by
nearly two billion people in 2014 (eMarketer, Worldwide Social Network Users: 2013
Forecast and Comparative Estimates).
In report format, you are required to research, review and compare the following social
networking sites:
• LinkedIn
• Twitter
• Instagram
Analyse the type of site, its focus, relevant technical features, audiences, and effectiveness
as well as any advantages, disadvantages (e.g. technical or ethical), similarities, and
differences between the platforms that you are ableto identify. Use referenced case studies
to support your arguments.
Cover Page
Assignment title, module code, full name and student number, as well as submission date.
Table of Contents
A list all the chapters, sections, headings and sub-headings. Appendices and Figures should
be provided as well as all page numbers as clearly as possible.
Introduction
This should show that you have understood the briefand that you will cover everything
required.
Findings and Analysis
This is the substance of your report. The structurewill vary depending on the material being
presented. Headings and sub-headings should be usedto clearly indicate the different
sections. It is not sufficient simply to describe asituation. Analysis and a critical approach
are essential. Use in-text citations. Charts, diagrams and tables can be used to reinforce
your arguments, although it may be better to include the more complex ones in an appendix.
Conclusions
Draw out the implications of your findings. Conclusions are based on the facts described in
the findings and analysis. Remember not to include any new material here.

Effects of Social Media on children.

This paper is for my Interdisciplinary Studies class and has to follow these guidelines:
First, define the research problem or question you plan to explore this semester.

The effects of social media on children. And my two disciplines to use for this Research Paper are Communication and Digital Media.
a- Complex enough to be interdisciplinary, narrow enough to be researched by end of term.
b- Avoid three tendencies that run counter to the IRP (What are they? If you’re not sure, be sure to look it up!)
c- Follow the guidelines for stating the problem or posing the question

Then, justify using an interdisciplinary approach. Use at least one of the four commonly used criteria as described in Repko’s text

1. The problem or question is complex.
2.Important insights or theories of the problem are offered by two or more disciplines.
3. No single discipline has been able to address the problem or resolve it.
4.The problem is unresolved societal need or issue.

Finally, provide a bibliography of sources cited in the above paragraphs.

Remember that to properly define the research problem, you will need to have conducted the initial literature search using the techniques discussed in class and ensure sufficient research is available. Be sure to use an organizational method to maintain a record of helpful sources. Further, to fully describe the problem and its implications, you may wish to cite statistics or provide other research detailing the reasons why solving the problem is so important.

Now that the problem statement has been written and the interdisciplinary approach justified, it is time to identify relevant disciplines and provide in-text evidence of disciplinary adequacy.

So far, the problem statement has been written, the interdisciplinary approach justified, relevant disciplines have been identified, and in-text evidence of disciplinary adequacy have been provided. Now, it’s time to analyze the problem and evaluate insights. To do so, please construct two sets of small tables.

The first table will show the most relevant disciplines and their perspectives, stated in the form of an overarching question about the problem you chose. The second set of charts will include a chart for each relevant discipline you are exploring, please share at least three scholarly sources with different insights, discern any assumptions the author may be making, and list at least one strength and limitation for each insight.

3 Project Components:

1. Observational Research Component
You will perform observational research by participating with a service or volunteer organization or group that has some connection with your research project focus. After choosing the service or volunteer organization, you must work at least ten (10) hours with that organization, participating and gathering primary research (first-hand information) for your project.

The service or volunteer organization can be through Volunteer UCF or with any on-campus or campus service organization or group. You cannot use your workplace, fraternity or sorority event, or internship.

You will use the information and experience gained by participating in a service or volunteer organization in the development of your research project in some manner. For example, you might include the service/volunteer research.

2. Interdisciplinary Research Component
Throughout the development of the project, you learned about integration in the Interdisciplinary Research textbook.

The project will need to include the following information:

A clearly defined interdisciplinary research question or problem statement that is either informed by or somehow related to the service project you completed
Justification of interdisciplinary approach
Relevant disciplines correctly identified
Analysis of problem with an evaluation of each insight
Conflicts between disciplines and their causes clearly identified (saying no conflicts could be identified is not acceptable for an interdisciplinary research paper. If you truly cannot find any conflicts, then you need to consider adding another discipline that might pose some challenges and conflicts)
Common ground statement
Presentation of the interdisciplinary solution or outcome. (This component contains the major content of the project and you will decide the focus, length, and development).
IT WOULD BE MOST HELPFUL IF EACH SECTION WAS CLEARLY LABELED!

3. Annotated Bibliography Component
Each research project will have an annotated bibliography with eight to ten (8-10) scholarly entries directly connected to your project focus. These entries must reflect a diversity of viewpoints. For this component:

Follow the writing, format, and documentation styles appropriate to your disciplines.

Research Project Format:

What should the project actually *be*? In short, it should be a research essay (Links to an external site.). The recommended length is 4-7 pages, not including the annotated bibliography. 1″ margins, double spaced, 12 point font.

How much of the essay should consist of summaries of work by others versus your own ideas/invention? That’s a function of your audience.

Try to imagine a real person (and a real company or agency) you might show this to in the next six months. What would THAT person want to see? Try to let this guide you in determining how prescriptive your solution should be to the problem statements that you discuss.

Training Podcast Script

Write a script of podcast that is used for training. The purpose of this assignment is to enable experience the value that an audio podcast may provide for short training segments. The topic of the podcast is your choice. However, your podcast should be training related.

The actual podcast should be approximately 4 minutes in length. Develop an identity or theme for your podcast. The objective should be clear. Provide a clear beginning, middle, and end (summary) to your podcast. To create interest, as part of your podcast, consider using a second speaker or conducting an interview. Incorporate background music or sound in appropriate places and make it clear in the script.

Social Pressure and Social Media

compose a persuasive (argument) essay. The essay should be argumentative (making a claim), rather than purely informative. Be sure to include appropriate evidence, examples, data, or other support for your assertion, and to refute opposing viewpoints or to anticipate and answer possible objections to your position. Remember, however, that these are not research essays.
As always, your essays at least three to four (3-4) pages (750 to 1000 words) and correctly formatted, and should be grammatically correct, free of errors in mechanics, grammar, usage, spelling, and documentation. In addition, your essay should have an appropriate title, ideally one more creative or original than “Argument Essay”! And underline your thesis!

Above is a direction for an essay. I decided to choose the topic of social pressure and social media. More specifically how social media contributes already problematic issues of womens self image. Falce sence of perfectionism. How certain people filter images and it is misleading for young gorls. How instagram and thumblr started this craze called “thigh gap” somethings that never existed before. How harmful social media can be. I would love to work with the writer on certain points
