Choose either Truth’s speech or Fuller’s essay

Respond to the following prompt: Choose either Truth’s speech or Fuller’s essay and complete a close reading. Then summarize the author’s main idea and provide your own analysis, insight, and response. Include a sentence or two explaining why you chose the piece you did. You must determine a central idea (thesis)for your post before you begin writing. Resist the urge to look up summaries or criticism of the poem. This assignment is specifically asking for your analysis and response without any external input. Support your discussion with specific in-text support from the piece.

This post must be a minimum of 275 words. No Plagiarism
You must demonstrate your ability to analyze and synthesize the material you have read. You will accomplish this in a number of ways:

1. You must include a minimum of 1 in text citation from the assigned reading(s) for the prompt. That in-text citation may be in the form of a direct quote or a paraphrase; however, a paraphrase demonstrates analysis and synthesis and, therefore, is the stronger option. In writing your in text citation, you must format it with a signal phrase and end it with a parenthetical note: Lena Sorensen clearly identifies the importance of the young man’s proposal by placing the scene at the climax of the story (985).
2. You must also use the Academic Moves templates and verbs, boldfacing them in your post. I provided handouts for the Academic Moves templates and verbs and for the proper formatting of a Works Cited entry from our text in an earlier module.

The person I chose to interview is a family nurse practitioner, Samantha Marqueas, in the city of Saint Louis. Many of the patients she serves including the majority of them being children, have Medicaid Insurance. Key outcome indicators measured for the microsystem that she says are important to her facility are patient satisfaction, safety, and financial relief of her patients. She reports that patient satisfaction is at the center of everything she does. She wants her patients who consist of mostly pediatrics to trust her and to also have fun while they visit her. She focuses her facility on fun and good humor. “Assessing the quality of care has become increasingly important to providers, regulators, and purchasers of care. In recent years, providers have begun to be interested in evidence-base medicine and purchasers have begun to focus on the cost-effectiveness of health care in producing health outcomes” (Nelson, 2008, p. 32). As a part of her primary care she prioritizes time to hear the parents concerns about their children and listens to them to see if there are any indicators she could pick up on as to what is causing them to be ill. She gives out surveys specifically on quality and safety of care to learn what ways they can improve. Monthly, they take this information and use it to better the facility and treatment they are giving to their patients.

Common obstacles that she runs into is a lack of communication among her co-workers. To utilize communication they undergo retreats to bond and improve the workplace environment.

To incorporate safety into her facility each team member has to go through and watch a video/ quiz to be able to stay up to date on patient safety. “A safety culture requires strong, committed leadership, along with the engagement and empowerment of all employees” (Cronenwett, 2009, 339). Marqueas NP says, “Effective teamwork is essential to accomplish the goal of safe, high-quality patient care.”

Since most of these patients are on Medicaid their are many financial burdens that she and the patients have to use. Many don’t even have insurance and have to pay out of pocket. “Uninsured individuals that are unable to pay often get the care they need through emergency departments when they are sick, after the opportunity to avoid preventable conditions has long passed” (Sadeghi, 2013, p.11). She reports that many of her patients use the Emergency Department because of the free healthcare that they can receive. This has been a burden for her to be able to receive pay from these individuals without insurance. She wants to help those who are uninsured by developing her practice of Family Medicine to be not-for-profit. She provides free and reduced health care to St. Louis area’s most undeserved clients. Her areas of medical interest are refugee and immigrant health, community health education, and health policy. She has a dedication to improving patient health that is focused on patient safety, care, and financial relief.

Evaluate which side has the stronger argument regarding the effect of the policy as likely to improve a social condition or social problem, explaining why they have the stronger case in light of the existing professional research. This is perhaps best approached as “analysis” rather than “personal opinion”; it is certainly not the place to reference “passionate feelings” about an issue.

Prepare an expository essay explaining the relationship between the Enlightenment and the formulation of political economy.

Chapter 2 of The Enlightenment ended by pointing out, the growth of public opinion also itself raised a fundamental problem: that of defining the real elite. Chapter 3 and 4 address the enlightened view of government and the political economy and concludes, the Enlightenment in England was the beginning of the modern economic growth. It was certainly one of the major driving forces behind the formulation of political economy (CAR, p. 53). Discuss what is meant by a “political economy” and how it was related to the Enlightenment.

Personal statement

Business management is my chosen undergraduate course. I’ve always been interested in Business, management in particular. Coworking with other individuals has been my strongest side. I guess the attraction of businesses competitiveness and collaborative work have influenced me a lot. I’m from Kazakhstan, I’ve been studying in Miras international school for 10 years. At the following school, I’ve finished my PYP and MYP programme. Currently I’m doing UFP at CATS London. After I’ll finish my education in UK, I would comeback to my country, where hopefully I’ll establish my own enterprise.
I also worked as a cashier in my father’s cafe. Eventhough it was a part-time job, that’s how I earned my first money. Other than I used to help my dad with the accountancy from time to time during this summer. Also I used to translate majority of the letters addressed to his business partners. The books which have inspired me to chose the business management course are ‘Think and grow rich’ by Napaleone Hill and Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap … And Others Don’t by Jim Collins.
