Billiards Game

Develop your own Billiards game based on the knowledge you have got from the mini-golf
tutorial. The game is simplified and is single user with six balls and four holes. There is no white
ball; instead you use the mouse or your finger to hit the balls (similar to mini-gold).
Your game should have:
1- Moving balls inside a canvas.
2- The ball should enter holes and score increases accordingly, then the ball disappear from
the hole.
3- The score should be accumulated (using the sum operation from the math section).
4- The Score should appears in a label.
5- A music should play when the game starts.
6- There is a reset button to return the score and balls to the initial status.

Biostatistics

Biostatistics

Now that you have observed the population statistics video on heart disease, generated hypotheses based on your observations, and justified why your ideal data-set (6 variables) would help better understand the epidemic of heart disease in America.

Review the heart disease map of Governors Township (your community) and generate at least one hypothesis which address each of the followings: 1) race and heart disease, 2) house size and heart disease, 3) household income and heart disease and 4) any additional hypothesis based on your observations up to this point. Be sure to study the map key (legend) to gain an understanding of each symbol on the map.

Now that you have a info-graphic (statistics/) of your community, describe your next steps in your investigation into heart disease.

The less you rush, the more likely it is that you’ll perform the experiment correctly and record your findings accurately. Also, take some time to think about the best way to organize the data before you have to start putting numbers down.

If you can design a table to account for the data, that will tend to work much better than jotting results down hurriedly on a scrap piece of paper. Generate a basic table (excel, word, etc) and identify the variables from the map and legend and the categories. Identify at least one other variable that may be useful to investigate that is not currently being provided.

Record the data carefully so you get them right. You won’t be able to trust your conclusions if you have the wrong data, and your professor will know you messed up if the other three people in your group have “97 degrees” and you have “87.”

Practice Examination

Thomas Cascade retired from his law enforcement job and began painting portraits. He loved to paint and expanded his painting into landscapes. The Festival of Arts was coming to his hometown and Thomas was invited to exhibit his paintings. On Wednesday, September 1, Thomas went to the festival and displayed several of his landscape paintings. Darla observed his mountain landscape painting and fell in love with it. She loved how Thomas captured the look of the sunset resting upon the mountains. She told Thomas that she will buy his painting for $2,500. Thomas told Darla that he has never sold one of his paintings and that he did not know what a fair price would be to charge for his painting. Thomas told Darla that he would take her phone number and call her back with a price.

Bobby, another art buff saw Thomas’ work and offered to pay Thomas $4,500 for the same painting that Darla had wanted to buy. Thomas accepted Bobby’s offer. Bobby asked Thomas to deliver the painting to his home by Friday and Bobby would pay him the money then. Thomas immediately took the painting out of his display, wrapped it in bubble wrap to protect it and put a sold sticker on it.

Thomas then had an art expert look at his work. The expert determined that his painting, based on his skill and talent, would sell from anywhere around $1,500 to $3,500 per painting.

Meanwhile, when Thomas tried to deliver the painting to Bobby on Friday, Bobby said that he had changed his mind and was no longer interested.

On October 1, Thomas then called Darla and left a message on her answering machine saying that he accepted her offer and would sell her the painting for the $2,500 she had offered. Darla has never returned Thomas’ telephone call.

What are Thomas’ rights against:

  1. Bobby?
  2. Darla?

ASSISTING STUDENT DEVELOPMENT

Alan: A Grade 5 StudentConsider the following profile:

Alan, a student with autism, is currently integrated full-time into a regular Grade 5 classroom. He was late in achieving some of the

developmental milestones of early childhood. He started to walk at 18 months and was slow to talk. Hisearly language was almost exclusively

repetitive echolalic speech with limited communicative message. As a young child, Alan’s play was repetitive with seeming unawareness of

others. He did not like to be touched by or to be close to other children, but accepted touch and cuddling from his mother. He often used

his sense of smell to investigate objects. He had an unusual interest in small objects such as keys or switches.

When Alan was three years old his mother, who is a single parent, consulted with a clinical psychologist. Thefamily has seen the

psychologist regularly, and his mother has participated in parent training in behaviourmanagement. She continues with the strategies

recommend with success. Alan was evaluated by a speech and language therapist at age three and has had ongoing speech therapy and updated

evaluations.

At age 10, Alan still has behaviours that require significant support. He functions in the classroom with adapted assignments and an

individualized visual schedule. The classroom routines include a token economy managed by the teacher assistant assigned to the class,

with reinforcers to maintain appropriate behaviour. Alan is highly inflexible about the schedule and becomes aggressive about transitions

if unexpected changes are made. Problematic behaviours were infrequent in grade four but have escalated now that he has started Grade 5.

The behaviours of concern to the teacher, teacher assistant, and Alan’s mother include: banging on the desk or table, head-banging,

agitated response if other people around fail to use specific cues, ignoring adultdirection, yelling, and throwing objects. These

behaviours pose a threat for physical harm to himself and disrupt the orderly functioning of the classroom. Alan does not have difficulty

separating from his mother.

Alan’s academic skills are below grade level. His reading decoding is estimated at the Grade 3 level and his math computations skills at

the Grade 4 level. Math problem-solving and reading comprehensionappear to be at the Grade 2 level. Most academic tasks can be adapted for

Alan. It is difficult to evaluate his knowledge using standardized tests or criterion reference measures because he may refuse to do

unfamiliar tasks. Alan likes to make detailed drawings, but tends to repeat the same subjects, usually cars and trucks. He enjoys music,

especially listening to quiet music on his ipad, but will not participate in music activities that require interacting with other students.

He has difficulty in gym period and follows a modified physical education curriculum with low order games assisted by the teacher

assistant.
