Design a 12 week strength and training programme

12 exercise programs
Paper instructions:
Requirements for the Written Report:
Students completing PHED 1111 (Physical Education 1) are being asked to design a 12 week strength and training programme that they would use themselves for the Major Assignment. As students in PHED 1112 (Physical Education 2) have more experience in physical education, you are being asked to create a 12 week strength and training programme for a hypothetic person. The person you have to create the programme for is your “hypothetical” 20-year old sister. She has been training cardiovascularly for her sport since she turned 16, but she has done no strength training or flexibility training. She has just been selected for her state/province and has aspirations of making it to the national team. She has no medical issues, uses no medications, has an appropriate body composition (not too fat or too under fat), and has sufficient motivation to add a sensibly constructed strength and training programme to her cardiovascular training programme. You can choose what sport she participates in.
A sport has to be chosen and the exercises tailored for that sport.
For example: swimming >>focus on shoulders .
cycling >>focus on quadriceps

Music and the Brain

Music and the Brain
Paper instructions:
Literature review
Type: Written Assignment
Learning Objectives Assessed: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6

Task Description:
Music and the brain
For the topic that you choose:
1. Select at least 10 recent book chapters, journal articles and/or case studies that address issues relating to the topic you have chosen (NOTE: recent means published in the last 10 years).
2. Write the essay in two sections, using the selected articles as references.
Section A (1000 words)
Review the critical points of current knowledge including substantive findings as well as theoretical and methodological contributions to the topic. Write in such a way that you bring the reader up to date with current literature on the topic which shows you have a good understanding of the area and you know the most important issues.
In the introduction, you should identify the topic you have chosen and provide a context for the literature. Point out the history and the trends in the literature you have reviewed and any conflicts in theory, methodology, evidence or gaps in research. Explain the organization of the review and if necessary why you have decided that certain literature is or is not included.
In the body, you should group the types of literature (chapters, journal articles, case studies) according to common areas such as qualitative versus quantitative approaches, the conclusions or the objective of the study/review. Summarize individual studies, chapters or articles with as much or as little detail as you think is significant.
It can be helpful to provide sentences at the beginnings of paragraphs as ‘signposts’ pointing to the main idea being presented and then brief summary sentences throughout the review to articulate your understanding of the comparisons and analyses of the literature.
In the conclusion, you should summarise by highlighting the main contributions of the studies and articles that you have reviewed. Maintain the focus established in the introduction. Evaluate the body of knowledge you have reviewed, pointing out any gaps or inconsistencies in the findings and conclude by addressing your responses to the research outlined in Section B.
Section B (500 words)
Discuss your reaction to your readings for the literature review using the following questions as a guide:
How has researching this subject changed the way you think about the subject? What are the most significant aspects of the research and work in your opinion? What do you consider the most important research and development work in this area recently? Have you noticed any trends and developments emerging over time in this area?

Weekly summary ASSIGNMENT

Weekly summary ASSIGNMENT.
At the end of each course week you are to post a weekly summary. Each summary carries a grade. The weekly summary serves several purposes:
· – it allows the instructor to understand better what went well during the week, where were problems areas, and what can the instructor can do to enhance your learning experience.
· – it allows the student to reflect on the learning content of the past week, by describing what they learned, what were their challenges, and what they did to overcome them.
· – it allows the class to share the learning experience between students and provide support where and when it is needed. Because one can often identify with other students challenges, one might feel less ‘unique.’ Take the opportunity to highlight what you learned, missed, or wished you had covered.

Homeless people in america

Homeless people in america
Conduct a document review and identify at least ten sources that you can draw upon when writing your research proposal. The document review is designed to do two things: 1) give your readers an overview of sources you have explored while researching a particular topic or idea and 2) demonstrate how your research fits into the larger field of study, in this case, social work.
You may noticed that I have not called this a literature review. Typically, literature reviews consist of peer reviewed articles. For this article you are can use any document to support your research. For example if studying the impact of homeless ordinances, you might include city codes or notes from a city council meeting.
All your documentation should support the following:
Review previous studies regarding the topic (from the research proposal rubric)
1.Important recent work on main theoretical questions
2.Historical background of theoretical questions
3.Important recent work on general empirical issues
4.Best work on specific research questions, both regarding the hypotheses and the data
5.Literature review should aim at a dialogue with the past work, putting into context, identifying relevant limitations, inconsistencies, and opportunities for extension
6.Should locate the research within an area in sociology and a program of past research, clarifying the theoretical and empirical traditions that shape and motivate the research
7.If the research has relevance for policy issues, these should be examined (critical for funding proposals)
Assignment Format
For this assignment you are provide a table listing at least ten sources that you have reviewed. In a table include the name of the reference, the source, key points and how it aids in your research.
