Topic: children’s understanding of the earth
Remember that word limits are for the body of an assignment, only. They do not include the title page, abstract, quotes or references, or in this case, the method and results sections that we are giving you.
– Abstract: You should include an abstract (approximately 150 words) that states the central issue(s), what you did and what you found, and what conclusions you can draw from the findings. Obviously, you will need to write very concisely to fit this all in.
Introduction: Here you need to provide a rationale for the study. You need to (briefly) describe the research domain and discuss prior research that provides a basis for your expectations (research questions) and for the methodology we have used. You should end up with one research question relating to age, and one research question relating to methodology.
Discussion: Here you need to start by describing the relationship between your expectations (research questions) and the findings, and between the findings and prior research before going on to consider how the findings can be interpreted and whether any implications can be drawn from them.
Do link your findings back to previous research and theory before going on to talk about methodological issues.
It is certainly desirable to think critically about what we did (and you can draw on your own experiences in data collection with your participant to illustrate this, if you wish) but don’t just list a whole raft of things that may have been wrong with this study. Do remember that you were one of the researchers! Always discuss how any problems you identify may have affected the results. Is there any evidence of this?

Topic: Operating and Recovery Room
Students are expected to complete the following objectives in the form of a research paper.
The paper should be double spaced using 12 point font with a length of 2-3 pages.
SURGICAL EXPERIENCE
1. Describe safety measures that are carried out to protect a client before surgery and during surgery. Apply the current guidelines of the National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG) and QSEN standard to your answer.
2. Identify at least 5 basic rules of surgical asepsis. What is the scientific rationale for each protective measure?
3. Describe at least 5 infection control practices that you see in the operating room. What is the scientific rationale for each practice?
4. Identify one nursing diagnosis related to Bladder Cancer surgical experience. Include one measurable expected outcome and 2 nursing interventions for the selected diagnosis that moves the client towards the achievement of the expected outcome. Include a scientific reference for the choice of the nursing diagnosis and each nursing intervention.
RECOVERY ROOM EXPERIENCE –
1. Describe the criteria used to assess a client in the recovery room (ie: Aldrete Scale.) How are the client’s needs prioritized during the recovery room experience? Interpret the criteria used to assess a client in recovery room.
2. Identify and describe the anesthetic agents used for a client’s surgical procedure. Describe the advantages, disadvantages and implications for administration for the agents used.
3. Identify 5 specific complications you would anticipate for a client considering the type of surgery and anesthetic agent administered? (Provide evidence based research to support your answer.)
4. Explain the rationale for the usage of IV fluids and/or blood products administered in PACU.
