The final project for consists of the development of a novel research proposal specific to your role specialization (Family Nurse Practitioner). The project must include an intervention appropriate to nursing practice and consistent with your MSN role option. An alternative to the above includes the selection of a specialty organization to focus research proposals based on the priorities of that organization. Examples of these organizations could include (but are not limited to): Sigma Theta Tau International, American Nurses’ Foundation, Oncology Nursing Society, Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, American Psychiatric Nursing Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners, National League For Nursing, etc.
Throughout this course you have been developing various sections of the research proposal. This week you will assemble the final proposal (addressing faculty feedback). This paper is to be developed in APA format/style using the required template and not to exceed 15 pages (excluding title page/references/appendices).

Additional reference requirements are expected for each version of the theory paper. Continued reading outside of textbook material is expected; therefore, note specific requirements. No more than one Internet source (Internet sources include websites related to your theoretical orientation and not electronic copies of professional research such as what you would find in the Walden Library) Utilization of course texts is expected. References shall be from appropriate professional publications and peer-reviewed journals. Note: Brochures, popular magazine articles, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and other non-professional materials are unacceptable as reference. including the first TOP that you did. This paper is a continuation of that paper.
Use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as my primary orientation, but discuss in this paper some parts of patient centered therapy (PCT) with CBT. My site allows the counselors to use whatever orientation they wish.
Instructions for Part Two This section is 13 pages.
Please separate the two sections with separate reference pages.
Instructions for third TOP

I work at an outpatient setting working with dual diagnosis clients ranging from adolescents to senior adults. 1. Description of how your theoretical orientation evolved based on your entire field experience, explaining how your theoretical orientation was applied throughout your field experience *my theoretical orientation is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I have always been drawn to CBT, but I have also used person-centered therapy (PCT) with my clients that have dual diagnosis disorders.. This should be a couple or paragraphs discussing the evolution of the theoretical orientation from Internship one and Internship two. I worked with dual diagnosis clients and CBT fit well due to (you’ll have to find some research on how CBT and dual diagnosis work well with these clients and PCT works with these clients) 2. Description of how your experience working with clients influenced the development of your theory (For example, if your orientation was existential and you worked in an inpatient psychiatric facility, how did you employ an existential approach to working with individuals manifesting psychotic or delusional symptoms?) This is a lifespan of my progression of my theoretical orientation This is a lifespan of where I started in the internship and where I want to go after I am finished with my formal education. 3. Application: Using the Data/Information/Knowledge/Wisdom Continuum

Application: Using the Data/Information/Knowledge/Wisdom Continuum
Have you ever gone online to search for a journal article on a specific topic? It is amazing to see the large number of journals that are available in the health care field. When you view the library in its entirety, you are viewing untapped data. Until you actually research for your particular topic, there is little structure. Once you have narrowed it down, you have information and once you apply the information, you have knowledge. Eventually, after thoughtful research and diligent practice, you reach the level of wisdom—knowledge applied in meaningful ways.
Are there areas in your practice that you believe should be more fully explored? The central aims of nursing informatics are to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom. This continuum represents the overarching structure of nursing informatics. In this Assignment, you develop a research question relevant to your practice area and relate how you would work through the progression from data to information, knowledge, and wisdom.
To prepare:
• Review the information in Figure 6-2 in Nursing Informatics and the Foundation of Knowledge.
• Develop a clinical question related to your area of practice that you would like to explore.
• Consider what you currently know about this topic. What additional information would you need to answer the question?
• Using the continuum of data, information, knowledge, and wisdom, determine how you would go about researching your question.
o Explore the available databases in the Walden Library. Identify which of these databases you would use to find the information or data you need.
o Once you have identified useful databases, how would you go about finding the most relevant articles and information?
o Consider how you would extract the relevant information from the articles.
o How would you take the information and organize it in a way that was useful? How could you take the step from simply having useful knowledge to gaining wisdom?
To complete:
Write a 3- to 4-page paper that addresses the following:
• Summarize the question you developed, and then relate how you would work through the four steps of the data, information, knowledge, wisdom continuum. Be specific.
o Identify the databases and search words you would use.
o Relate how you would take the information gleaned and turn it into useable knowledge.
• Can informatics be used to gain wisdom? Describe how you would progress from simply having useful knowledge to the wisdom to make decisions about the information you have found during your database search.
Your paper must also include a title page, an introduction, a summary, and a reference page.
