• Review of Literature
Review of literature on the topic
o How has the topic been studied
o What changes have occurred (if any)

What questions remain to be answered (General Research Inquiry)
Review of the literature on the theory
o Explain why this theory is appropriate to study this topic
o Explain how this theory will be used to investigate the topic
State and explain the research questions and/or hypotheses
o Explain how they relate to the topic and theory
o Explain how answering/testing them will progress this field of research
