Contrasting Leadership Models :
No definitive recipe exists for strong leadership. A quick look throughout history reveals that ‘strong’ leadership exists in many forms. The leadership methods used by Gandhi, for example, differed dramatically from those of Genghis Khan. Gandhi’s peaceful methods brought about social change, while Genghis Khan personified brutality in the pursuit of power. Both leaders achieved their goals, and they certainly exerted power. Their contrasting methods demonstrate the need for attention to ethics as well as the implications and messages inherent to different leadership styles. Leadership methods can exhibit a multitude of characteristics.
This Assignment will be a critical analysis of successful and contrasting leadership approaches in public health systems.
