As soon as he arrived in the US , John started working very hard with extended hours for couple of years until he was able to save some money with the main purpose to bring his family to the US. Other Alternatives – Bring his family requesting VISA: This alternative does not work for John because the process will take at least 14 years, his parents were old. The family in Cuba could built a raft in Cuba and try on their own, so they request asylum by wet feet , dry feet policy: This alternative would not work either because in Cuba the people doesn’t have the possibilities to built a good raft. Conclusion: Even though alternatives do not meet the objective, the consequences are greater than 50% major evil which is considered unethical.
