Title of systematic review:

‘The effectiveness of high fidelity simulation on student’s anxiety and self efficacy for undergraduate students: a systematic review protocol’

Question:

What is the effectiveness of high fidelity simulation on student’s anxiety and self efficacy for undergraduate students?

Rational

• there are several systematic reviews have been conducted in recent years to investigate the use of high fidelity simulation in health care (or practical) education. Some of these reviews found that use of high fidelity simulation by undergraduate students improves knowledge acquisition, psychomotor skills, enhance student satisfaction and confidence which proposed its effectiveness as educational strategy in health care (or practical) education. However, there is a gap of knowledge for effectiveness of it on anxiety level and self efficacy students’ learner.

• The second reason is in Kingdome of Saudi Arabia the education system is totally rely on tutors unlike different countries, hence, use of high fidelity simulation in education will improve self efficacy for learner in terms of increase ability to learn.

Aim:
The aim of this study is to evaluate the overall effectiveness of high fidelity simulation using manikins in practical education on student’s anxiety and self efficacy outcomes of learning. To evaluate the potential for future curricular development using simulation as learning strategies in undergraduate education programmes in my country.

Objective:

The objective of this review is to identify the best available evidence about the effects of high fidelity simulation on student’s anxiety and improve self efficacy in undergraduate health care education.

Problems statement:
students feel fear and anxious when deal with patient in hospital and high fidelity simulation might reduce anxiety by provide high degree of reality before practice in clinical settings.
Also, faculty and preceptor’s shortage and lack of clinical settings and there is a gap between theory and practice.

Inclusion criteria:

PICO (participant, intervention, control and outcome)
All high fidelity simulation (adult, paediatric simulation)
All Undergraduate heath care student such as (nurses, midwifery, medical, physiotherapy)
Different medical care procedures
Outcomes on reduction of student’s anxiety level and improve self efficacy for undergraduate learners
Control: compare with usual learning such as lectures and others.

Study type: RCTs and non RCTs quaiz experimental and give justification why did you choose these studies

Exclusion criteria:

Not high fidelity simulation
Other language study just English language studies
Graduate students
