EXAMPLE ONLY ☟

So, the developer is someone who does exactly that and develops the scripts necessary for the database to function. They will develop the tables and queries that go into to the development of the server. Now this constitute writing many stored procedures to make all this work and so on. But it only doesn’t have to be what’s in the server they must develop. The job I currently work on we don’t have a direct data link to all the data we need to perform our queries and reports so we have import everything through .txt file. So how do you do that, well the developers created a C# program which is essentially a dashboard that allows me to do all of that. So, developers pretty much do all the designing of and creating any new queries or tables necessary to make it all work.

After the database is put into place you need someone to manage all the data and what goes into the server. This is where the database administrator comes into play. He essentially is a maintainer of the database keeping the data clean and ensuring the database is running smoothly. This is a very important job just because they have direct control of what goes in and out of the database and could essentially break the database if they don’t know what they are doing. So both developer and DBA are very important.
