What Is an Annotated Bibliography?
An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles, and documents.
Each citation is followed by a brief (usually about 150 words) descriptive and evaluative paragraph (the annotation).
The purpose of the paragraph is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited.
It is important to review the sources critically, and evaluate their relevance to your paper.
Locate five more peer-reviewed articles related to your topic to complete a annotated bibliography.
Summarize these articles.
Discussion.
Post your preliminary ideas for your final research project.
Post the topics you are exploring, your rationale for choosing them, and resources you have found this far.
As you work on your assignment, go back to the forum and refine your ideas, post your final thesis statement, and your supporting articles.
Respond to at least two posts from your classmates by thoroughly analyzing each of their topics and providing your own thoughts on opportunities to enhance their topics.
Supply some recommendations for additional resources or sources of information based on your experience with their topic.
Support your ideas with a strong rationale and citations where appropriate. This is an opportunity for peer-to-peer support and engagement on ideas and directions for research.
Some of the most significant current information on patient care in nursing comes from scholarly, peer-reviewed journals and articles. Within this category of information sources, we can further categorize the studies into qualitative and quantitative sources, each with their own set of methods and standards. Within each of these categories, nurses must be able to differentiate between sources of published data that are used to develop EBP.
For this assignment, choose a topic, an issue, or a phenomenon that informs nursing practice and that has been researched qualitatively. Select a nursing qualitative research article published in a peer-reviewed journal within the past 5 years on your chosen topic, issue, or phenomenon. Please view the presentation Search by Methodology (link given in the resources) to help you find an appropriate qualitative research article.
After selecting the article, complete the following:
1. Provide a comprehensive summary of the qualitative research study.
a. Describe the problem, purpose, and hypothesis of the study.
b. Identify and describe the qualitative study methodology (ethnography, phenomenology, grounded theory, or case study).
c. Describe the data collection, data analysis, and reporting procedures.
2. Critique the entire study.
a. Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the study, providing specific examples to support your analysis.
b. Analyze the ethical implications of the study, including the effects on human subjects. Why are ethical standards important in research when applied to the patient care setting?
3. Analyze the significance of the problem studied for nursing practice.
a. Is the research study an appropriate source of information for informing patient care decision making? Explain your rationale.
Submit your 3–4-page critique of the selected article in the assignment area. Remember to cite your references using current APA style and formatting guidelines.
What are the factors that make students successful? This background report describes the most important factors that make students successful. I will first look at the role nutrition play and will describe how the healthy foods affect students. Second, some information will be given about how some factors motivate students to get good grades. In addition, there will be more information about two types of motivation. Third, I will talk about the studying strategies that may help many students to get better grade in their colleges or schools. Next, I will talk about the important of putting a useful goal from the beginning and how this factor help students.
I believe this topic is important to students around the world for two reasons. First, it can change some students mind’s who think being a successful student is difficult. Second, it is a good chance to inform students about what will happen if they send four years, and they don’t learn enough information.
This report will conclude with a proposal for research within the Higher Colleges of Technology.
Review the Final Research Project instructions. To help with the preparation of the paper, complete the following items and submit them to your instructor as a single document.

Narrative analysis of ONE selected master theme
Analyse ONE core master/superordinate theme for this section. Make sure you look at the subthemes that make up this theme. Include quotes as evidence and compare and contrast participant material adding codes in brackets. You can use this opportunity to bring in other theoretical ideas and/or research that are linked to your themes and make sure you provide references following APA guidelines. This section should include critical evaluation. Include a brief summary or conclusion to this section.
Draft and submit a brief proposal for your Portfolio Project. The proposal should include the following:
1. Describe the chosen cultural group (from last week’s assignment).*** I downloaded the assignment from last week to get an idea of what is needed.*** I had chosen the LGBT community***
2. Describe the purpose of your final research project paper: to do this you must first develop a research question based on an issue and/or theory you wish to explore in relation to the chosen cultural group.
3. Describe your plan for exploring the research question, issue and/or theory.
4. Describe your intended outcomes of your research – in other words, what do you hope to achieve by writing this paper? This might be centered on future career goals, answering a question you still have about the field in general, or some other direct application to practice or theory building.
5. Create an annotated bibliography of five to seven references that you might use in your paper and that are not assigned readings in this course. These sources should discuss, use, or compare and contrast traditional and culturally relevant research methods or practices.
Your reference list should include diverse authors whenever possible and the sources must have been published within the last five years UNLESS you can make case for an older source that is considered a foundational material for the field. The CSU-Global Library is a good place to find your sources, including information about annotated bibliographies.
An annotated bibliography presents the bibliographic information for each resource. It provides a one-paragraph summary of the resource along with a statement about how the resource will be used in your paper. Refer to Chapter 8 in your textbook for instructions and examples regarding the creation of an annotated bibliography.
Your well-written proposal should be 2-3 pages in length and formatted according to the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA Requirements.
