rush/ the band rush

MUST BE A PEER REVIEWED ARTICLE IN TOTAL THERE WILL BE 10 SOURCES. 3 CAN BE INTERNET 1 HAS TO BE PEER REVIEWED You will write a 10 page paper (not including end notes/bibliography) describing the place and influence of your chosen band within the history of rock and on stylistic changes in rock history. You must include musical description and important features of four songs by the band. Your paper will critique the role of these influential songs on the development of style within the particular decade they are found and in the overall history of rock. Your conclusion will include an analysis of how forward-looking ideas originate in the artistic community and how their influence is transmitted to future artists.
If you write about a song or performer/band that was discussed in class during the semester, you must still cite all information and you must include more information above and beyond what was talked about in class.
Do not use seconds and minutes to explain what happens in the song (ie: “at 1:47 the keyboard is replaced by the electric guitar, then it solos for exactly 32 seconds”). Remember to write in detail about each song and provide a persuasive argument for each song as to why it is important in rock history. This paper is not a re-telling of the material you learned in class this semester. You must provide notes and a bibliography at the end of the paper. Any bibliographic style may be used, but the style must be consistent.
Papers that do not contain a bibliography will not earn points for this assignment.
A few things to keep in mind:
•Do not use a title/cover page or include photos or drawings, etc.
•Song titles are capitalized and placed in quotes: “I’m Only Sleeping”
•Album titles are underlined: Pet Sounds
•Band names are not placed in quotes or italics: The Temptations
•Decades do not possess anything. Correct: 1950s or ‘50s
Incorrect: 1950’s or 50’s
•Dates should look like this: October 4, 1970 – not – October fourth, nineteen- •Genres are not capitalized seventy
•Instruments are not capitalized
•Do not place extra space between paragraphs
•Lyrics do not need to be cited
•If you include lyrics to a song or a quote that totals FIVE LINES OR MORE, please follow these instructions for block quotes: indent five extra spaces after the tab, no “quotation marks” and single space. For example:
I’m a flea-bit peanut monkey
All my friends are junkies
That’s not really true
I’m a cold Italian pizza
I could use a lemon squeezer
What you do?
•If lyrics are four lines or less, include them in the body of the paragraph with quotation marks. For example: “But I’ve been bit and I’ve been tossed around by every she-rat in this town. Have you, babe?”

Sources
You must include a bibliography of where you found all information for this paper. The bibliography must be at least ten academic sources:
•only three of these may be online sources.
-You may not use: Wikipedia, Song Facts, All Songs, All Music, Lyrics Freak, Metro Lyrics, AZ Lyrics, Last FM, Shmoop, Song Meanings, Music-Critic.com, etc. -these are NOT valid online academic sources.
-Any website that is based off of user opinion and not on fact may not be used.
•at least one of your sources must be a peer-reviewed academic source. This means an academic journal. This source MUST be part of this assignment. You must use the peer-reviewed source to pass this assignment.
•You may not use the class textbook (or ANY textbook), class notes, your professor, your parents, any family friend, etc. as a source.

Citation
•Very important: You must properly cite all information found from your sources. •You need to cite the source after every sentence that includes information found from that source.
•Do not wait until the end of a paragraph to cite a source.
•Patch writing is plagiarism. Patch writing is a failed attempt at paraphrasing. Rather than copying a statement word for word, the writer will rearrange phrases and change tenses, relying too heavily on the vocabulary and syntax of the source material. It’s a form of intellectual dishonesty that indicates that the writer is not actually doing their own thinking.

Research Methods in Nursing

Research Questions.

1. What differences in levels of stress are reported by male and female carers across the first six months of caregiving?
2. How do first year student nurses cope with their first clinical placement?
3. What impact does staff training in person centred caring have on patient satisfaction?
4. What are the experiences of post graduate students on a research methods course?

CRITERIA:
For each question you consider and justify an appropriate research method design; a sampling objective and sampling strategy; and discuss data collection strategies for collecting appropriate and good data.

Each question requires about 600 words.

I proposed following research designs, sample and data collections. If you could incorporate this in my work it would be great, however, if you find something that is not appropriate to answer the questions correctly I would appreciate your input and corections, please. Thank you very much.
1. What differences in levels of stress are reported by male and female carers across the first six months of caregiving?

Design: Quantitative – descriptive (cross-sectional compering groups of people)

Sample: Male and female carers across the first six months of caregiving in general nursing homes.

Data collection: Questionnaires for male and female carers working across the first six months in 10 nursing homes.

2. How do first year student nurses cope with their first clinical placement?

Design: Qualitative – ?grounded theory or ?ethnography

Sample: University students randomly invited for interview – up to 10

Data collection: Semi-structured interview method, audiotaped

3. What impact does staff training in person centred caring have on patient satisfaction?

Design: Quantitative – correlational

Sample: Simple random sampling – patients from hospital wards

Data collection: Paper survey (questionnaire) before staff training and after staff training, close-ended questions

4. What are the experiences of post graduate students on a research methods course?

Design: Qualitative – phenomenology

Sample: Purposive (convenience) sampling – post graduate students doing research method course at University (up to 10 people).

Data collection: Face-to-face interviews, direct observation, open-ended questions, audiotaped and taking notes if possible

Composing an Annotated Bibliography for Your Project:

Using the three links provided on the right, learn how to create an annotated bibliography (a bibliography with brief descriptions of each source and how it will be useful.)

Your final annotated bibliography should have 10-15 entries, and this “working bibliography” should have at least 10 articles cited. You may include books, academic journal articles, and websites. However, most of your references (at least 70%) for this draft annotated bibliography should be academic quality journal articles or books. You should refer to at least one book and at least one website. In this “working bibliography” assignment, please submit all the annotated bibliography entries you have made so far to show your progress toward completing the final project. It is expected that you might end up needing to change some of your references for the final draft that you submit for the final project in the references/annotated bibliography section

Research and Study Skills

This writing requires using SPSS in the analysis of economic variables.
I have consulted with my supervisor, the topic has been selected as studying the perspectives that treat gold as an inflation-hedging asset for the theoretical frame work of the essay. My supervisor also requires me submit two variables of the inflation of Ringgit Malaysia and the gold price next Monday, 30th Nov, and discuss what these variables use for. So, Please send me a dataset of the selected variables and indicate what they are used for by Monday.

Research Methods

Breif assesment description:
Individually students will be asked to identify an issue of interest within their pathway (business management) OR continue with the topic selected in their group assignment. Here the challenge would be for each student to individually follow the research process and hone their individual skills that they have just explored in the group setting. Students will be expected to do a substantive literature review, followed by applying the instruments of data collection identified during the group assignment to collect and analyse data. The submission would then focus on students’ ability to collate findings from the study, draw conclusions and proffer practical and achievable recommendations to the problem(s). The purpose here would be to give students the opportunity to engage in the steps of the research process and build on initial experience to gain confidence in its application.

Single sex schools and mixed schools

It is a 4 pages research paper, using 4 sources, with atleast 12 citations (4 summaries, 4 paraphrasing, 4 quotes) and one block quote.
The topic will be about students would benefit more in single sex schools rather than mixed schools. In the paper I want you to write about how each school would affect the teaching and students.

Abstract

Abstract
Insert abstract here; it should be no more than one page. Abstract text must be double-spaced with no paragraph breaks. Describe the overall research problem being addressed in the first couple of sentences and indicate why it is important (e.g., who would care if the problem is solved). You can include a general introduction of the issue in the first sentence, but you need to move to a clear statement of the research problem being addressed. Identify the purpose and theoretical foundations, if appropriate, summarize the key research question(s), and briefly describe the overall research design, methods and data analytic procedures. Identify the key results, one or two conclusions, and recommendations that capture the heart of the research. Conclude with a statement on the implications for positive social change. Here are some form and style tips: (a) limit the abstract to one typed page; (b) maintain the scholarly language used throughout the doctoral study; (c) keep the abstract concise, accurate, and readable; (d) use correct English; (e) ensure each sentence adds value to the reader’s understanding of the research; and (f) use the full name of any acronym and include the acronym in parentheses. Do not include references or citations in the abstract. Per APA style, unless at the start of a sentence, use numerals in the abstract, not written out numbers.
Here is my problem statement. Use as a guideline:

Problem Statement
Educators don’t know if Edgenuity has a positive impact on student achievement (Davis, 2015). The U.S. Department of Education published a report in September 2010 suggesting more research was needed to determine the impact of online education for Kindergarten through Grade 12 students (Jones, 2012). A third of Georgia’s school districts are using blended learning software called Edgenuity, which is a research-based video course curriculum. Edgenuity is used as core curriculum for intervention to recover credits and to prepare for standardized assessments (Edgenuity.com, 2015). Similar to traditional classroom teaching, these students are required to master learning objectives by reading, writing, practicing, exploring, and discussing (Edgenuity.com, 2015). At the research site, which is a Georgia high school, at-risk students are placed in these Edgenuity classes. Some have completed their credit courses using Edgenuity but their Georgia Milestone test scores are low. These students are not in traditional classroom settings; however, they need to pass the Georgia Milestone test. A quantitative design will be used to determine the effectiveness this program has on at-risk students’ standardized test scores versus traditional students’ standardized test scores.
