TOPIC: Ethnicity/Race In Children’s Literature

The questions and the outline contained in the ‘question’ file I uploaded MUST be completed by 6:00 PM EST of 11/8/2015

What I need today is the outline and the answers to the question located in the file I uploaded called “Questions”. The rest of this assignment I can accept Monday after this first part is done!

The full assignment is to prepare a presentation of what you’d like us to know about the topic you’ve researched. I’d like you to include images, words, and a script for voice narration; you may use video clips or music if appropriate. You may use any software programs you like to do this. Jing is a very simple program that will allow you to take a video of whatever you have on your screen and then narrate it. You may prerecord the presentations and post them, or do them live and be recorded doing them.

You may wish to cover such topics as

•why this topic was important to you;
•what surprised you as you researched it;
•how you’ll use the information;
•what’s the most significant thing you learned about the subject;
•….

Please include a one- to two-paragraph written introduction to your presentation on the discussion board entry. The model you should use for your introduction is that of an abstract. There are a number of elements you should include:

1) Your research question. What did you want to learn and why is it important?

2) The way you researched the answer to your question (e.g., internet research, experiment or survey).

3) What you learned. Include major points and some examples.

4) Your conclusions about the impact of this information on what you do or think.

CONTENT & GRADING RUBRIC
1. Three (3-no more and no less!) ethical principles identified, defined, described, and discussed.(30 points/10 points each).
The three ethical issues I want to you to write about in the movie are Autonomy, Beneficence and Nonmaleficences.

Watch the selected video with the purpose of identifying ethical principles such as Justice, Veracity, etc. List (identify) one of the principle seen, define that principle, briefly describe the scene(s) it was exemplified in, and discuss whether the principle was upheld or violated. The key to meeting this requirement is to answer the when, what, where, how and why questions — of the ethical issues.
Repeat for the second and third ethical principles that you identified.
You must cite the movie in text and on the Reference page.
APA FORMAT(10 points)

Grammar, punctuation, spelling, appropriate language usage, sourcing/citations, references, correct font and font size, APA style, ETC.Examples on next page.

Creativity(10 points)

There are several purposes for this assignment:
1. To provide you with an exploration into the ethical, legal, and spiritual insight of 33 men who were buried alive. How they worked together for a common goal and how that can relate to nursing.
2. To provide you with an opportunity to reflect upon your own spirituality and mortality.
3. To provide insight of how the miners faced starvation, being deprived of power, their families, and a way out. Can this relate to how some patients may feel?
4. To evaluate your written communication skills and your ability to organize your thoughts in a logical presentation.
Requirements for this paper include:

2. There is no �right or wrong� associated with this paper. The purpose of this assignment is to encourage you to think about the manner of cohesiveness of nursing and how it all affects the overall outcome of the patient.

Write a four to five page paper addressing how your chosen work-related issue/problem from the week two discussion is addressed by your state Board of Nursing (BON) and other professional nursing organizations. Use the following guidelines and evaluation criteria.
Include level-one APA headings in your paper using the section headings below. For example, how does your state BON’s approach to threats of patient abandonment apply to the issue of mandatory overtime?

The American Nurses Association and Your Workplace Issue – 60 points
Describe two American Nurses Association (ANA) sources from the ANA publication that address your work-related issue and the efficacy of the ANA’s approach in the context of your work environment. Resources are provided in the Week 5 Resources areas of the course,
Summary – 20 points
End the paper with a one-paragraph summary of the main points of the paper.

My section is about Key Players and Values.
