The Effectiveness of Acupressure on Relieving Pain

Topic: Re: The Effectiveness of Acupressure on Relieving Pain
Paper instructions:
Hello, I’ve noticed you bid on my order. Could you deliver a well rounded paper (it’s a rewrite of an original paper) by tomorrow? I would like you to meet the deadline, as I faced some writers here who failed to hand me any work after waiting for a week. Also I don’t like to send it back and forth for grammar and sentence fragment revision. I would like to accept your bid if you accept all of my conditions. I’m very anxious as the deadline has passed and I like to hand in a A+ report (worth 40% of my grade) for this course as soon as possible. Please let me know goly_139@hotmail.com or reply back here if you can.
Please see the attachment for the original paper which needs to be rewritten.

economic discussion

Topic: economic discussion
Paper instructions:
In 2008, the Board of Directors and shareholders of Anheuser Busch agreed to be acquired by a Belgian Brewer (InBev). Prior to the merger, InBev made many pledges to AB regarding how the company would operate after the merger, how its employees would be treated, and so on. With some stipulations, the U.S. Government agreed to allow the merger.

Since the merger, InBev has laid off a significant number of Anheuser Busch employees, most of whom worked at the St. Louis headquarters. Where the merger created duplication of job duties, those being terminated have to-date been from AB, not InBev. There is a great deal of speculation and trepidation around the St. Louis area about the long-term fate of the remaining employees, as well as worry about how the new company will view the many and varied civic contributions the company has made to St. Louis and the many other U.S. areas in which it has operations.

View 1 – AB acted as a well-managed business that takes the actions necessary to remain competitive in a very competitive market. If AB had not approved the merger, its profits and stock price would have fallen, and investment capital would have fled the company. As difficult as the decision was, AB operates in a very competitive environment and owes its stockholders the best return it can provide.

View 2 – The decision to sell the company was both short-sighted and, ultimately, a bad business decision. Any short term benefits AB stockholders reaped from the merger will be more than offset by U.S. job losses, lower tax revenues for States and the U.S. Government, and damage to the U.S. communities in which the company operates. Employees whose employers are loyal to them during difficult times repay that loyalty to the company through hard work. Employees who view themselves as economic pawns to be added or discarded as needed will feel only a marginal commitment to the new AB and their work performance will reflect the negative opinion they hold of their employer.

Let’s hear your thoughts. Don’t just tell us what you think personally, but bring Managerial Economic theory to bear on this issue.

SAP Predictive Analysis

Topic: SAP Predictive Analysis
Paper instructions:
In this week’s guide page, I discussed engines and interfaces as categories of data mining software. Some of the engines we have studied this term include querying engines, row and column manipulation engines, visualization engines and statistical analysis engines. Our interfaces for querying were SQL and the SAP Business Objects Analysis. For row and column, we had EXCEL, SQL and SAP Business Objects Analysis. For visualization, we had EXCEL, SAP Business Objects Analysis and R. For statistical analysis, we had EXCEL and R.

The take away message for this assignment is that many software packages provide the same functionality, and often your task in learning a new package is to figure out how the package does the familiar functions, rather than studying something brand new. This week’s assignment examines SAP Predictive Analysis as an interface, and asks you to match its visualization functionality with the engines and interfaces we have studied already. The purpose is to get used to thinking of data mining software in terms of concepts rather than details. If you understand concepts, you will be able to deal with new situations much more effectively than if you only memorize details.

1) To what engines does SAP Predictibe Analysis provde an interface? Explain.

2) Review the How to acquire data and do simple visualizations video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nd4bnDguf1I. At time 1 minute and 5 seconds, the presenter moves the Category column to the Legend Color box of the chart feeder. Describe the structure of an EXCEL pivot chart that would produce the same color-coded bar chart. This type of coloring is also called color brushing, and it is one of the most effective techniques for exploratory visualizations.

3) Review the NCAA Final Four prediction video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZg2HsvfEaA At time 1 minute and 8 seconds, the presenter shows SAP Predictive Analysis interface for merging two files. What previous interface that we studied could be used for merging? Briefly explain the details of how you would do a merge using the previous interface.

4) At time 3 minutes and 28 seconds of the NCAA video, the presenter selects a set of bubbles and filters out all the bubbles outside the box. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZg2HsvfEaA How would you do the same kind of filtering in an EXCEL pivot chart. Hint: the solution is extremely tedious and not nearly as easy as the SAP method.

5) How would you create a trellis chart in EXCEL?

OUR HISTORY

Reality House was founded 42 years ago, in 1970, with a more limited role than today: it was to provide local judges, for the first time, with an alternative sentencing option for first time offenders.

At the time, circuit judges could send these convicted offenders to prison, usually the state penitentiary, or back onto the streets in the care of probation officers. Using federal money provided under the Law Enforcement Assistance Act, our local LEAA committee researched and established Reality House based on a fledgling experiment in Minnesota. One of our current Board of Director member, Hank Waters, states that one of the most interesting and rewarding experiences of his civic life was service on the LEAA committee under the chairmanship of Judge Frank Conley and subsequently as a founding member of the Reality House board, a position he says he is “pleased to occupy to this day”.

With fragile funding and the challenge of selling their dream to judges, state legislators and other public officials in lawmaking and criminal corrections fields, Reality House began to do good work and gradually proved its worth. For the first time, judges had a better option for many of the fledgling criminals they had to sentence and public budget makers found good reason to provide funding as part of their corrections budgets.

The judge could sentence the first-time offender to probation with an initial experience at Reality House, where serious rules were in effect and heavy-duty Reality Therapy counseling occurred. A fact of criminal life is that most youthful first-time offenders were, and still are, afflicted with drug and alcohol problems. As Hank says, “The idea, of course, was to divert the burgeoning miscreant from a life of crime and into productive citizenship.”

The idea proved successful. The original role continues, and Reality House since has evolved to fill a continuum of criminal justice system and treatment programming.

The original dream, still being worked out today, was to take care of local criminal offenders here at home instead of sending them off to dangerous environments, such as prison. It was believed then, as it is today, that it would save lives, save money, make society safer and allow judges to provide more humane, intelligent options for sentencing
