In Chapter 1 of your text, Designing Healthy Communities, Dr. Jackson discusses the idea of caritas, which can mean “love” or “charity.” He discusses several levels of caritas, starting with self-love and ending with nationalism. It is through caritas for your community that true change can occur. Dr. Jackson has found several examples where community love or pride can save a city.

The success of a community action plan (which is the subject of your final Portfolio Project for this course) hinges not only on strong leadership but also on community involvement.

• Identify at least four strategies that you might use to increase and maintain community involvement in solving a public-health issue in your own community. (Think back to the issue you mentioned in the Getting Started Introduction assignment.)

For the Signature Assignment, you will research issues facing academic advising and the current strategies that are being utilized by advisors in the NCAA institutions. For this final assignment, you are to:
1.Identify an Academic Athletic Advisor at a major university who is involved with an athletic department student services program you would like to interview. Contact this individual to ask specific questions about the person’s background and professional steps he or she took to attain the current position. Have that person describe his or her day-to-day routine. (Make sure you research the advisor’s background before calling to assure an effective interview with time efficiency.)
2.What athlete advisement programs or components are in place to help students with eating disorders, behavioral disorders, and learning disabilities?
3.What additional programs are provided or conducted for student athletes, especially to maintain NCAA eligibility?
4.Evaluate the program comparing this program against the material presented in this course.

Note: If for some reason you cannot make contact with an athletic academic advisor, go to the website of an athletic department, preferably a major university. Look at their academic advising program as well as their policies and procedures concerning athletic advisement. It is recommended that you select a Division I institution as these positions are funded by the NCAA and they are very comprehensive. In place of the first component, critique the website and the ease or lack thereof with which a student athlete could find resources or personnel to assist with counseling-related concerns. Then complete components two through four.

It would be helpful if you could get an electronic or hard copy policies and procedures manual and other documents concerning the structure of the program.

Please make sure that five of the eight required resources are from refereed journals, periodicals, or books concerning advising the student athlete for areas that must be developed within this program such as learning disabilities and eating disorders.

Draw A Mind map Template that I can edit as I go along from October to Jan .In this course we will use mind mapping to help demonstrate connections among various concepts. The tool we use, “text 2 mindmap”, develop a mind map. Make sure that you keep concepts grouped together, indenting where appropriate to show relationships among concepts. Be very certain to SAVE the link to your mind map so that you can go back and edit it each module as your understanding of these concepts grows and evolves.

Ultimatum games

 
I haven’t really told my professor what is i want to do on the ultimatum game. I just told him i wanted to research on that and he told me there are dimensions to the problem such as effect of having more than 2 stages or even discounting without switching roles across rounds and can also examine the effects of altering the effective rate of varying the amount that the pie shrinks across rounds.
