eBusiness Feasibility Study Assignment

A feasibility study is used to look at the opportunities and issues that arise in developing a new business idea or opportunity. It is done before a business plan is written, and its purpose is to help managers decide whether or not a new venture or business idea is worth pursuing. A full feasibility study would include sections on financial, resource, and management/operational feasibility. For the purposes of this assignment, you are not required to justify the content in these sections, just to demonstrate that you can comment on costs, resource availability , and whether or not the staff and management can do the work.
You must select an eBusiness idea on which to base your study. This could be for a completely new venture, or an idea for an existing business or organization to establish, change or extend its online presence or business channels. The organization can be a for-profit or not-for profit venture.

Simulation Paper

The following is a highly educational interactive exercise, which visually demonstrates the impact of various strategic decisions that you can make, under different kinds of industry characteristics. You may play the simulation as many times as you like.

After playing the simulation game, write a 5-6 page paper covering the following questions.
1. Please define each type of market structure (monopoly, oligopoly, monopolistic competition, and perfect competition). Be sure to paraphrase information in your own words, and cite your sources.
2. Describe the competitive advantage/unique resources Computers possesses in the monopoly market scenario. To this end, describe why intellectual property rights are important in a capitalistic market system. How might a firm hedge against an expiring patent so they can maintain some sort of competitive advantage into the future?
3. In an oligopoly firms try to avoid competing on prices, and probably try to avoid competing in other aspects to the marketing mix (products, promotion, placing). Is this possible in this market?
4. In a monopoly scenario, the firm does not need to worry about generic strategies. However, as firms move through successively more competitive market structures, they need to consider which type of generic strategy to implement. After referring to Porter’s Generic Strategies in the MBA Reference Guide, comment on which strategy you recommend depending on the oligopoly, monopolistic competition, and perfect competition scenarios. Please make sure to justify your answers.
5. Consider the perfect competition scenario. After reading the Porter’s Five Forces that is included in the MBA Reference Guide, rate each of the forces as high-medium-low and justify your rankings. In a perfect competition scenario, is the computer industry attractive? Why, or why not?

economic develpment

1. For the final paper, pick a particular development issue/topic of your choice. You can work
individually or you can work in groups of 2.
2. Students are expected to use some relevant data for the paper. Your syllabus has some useful
to access data. The links can also be used for background readings. You may also consult some
government data sources or other sources (if needed).
3. While working on your paper, please remember that the most important thing is novelty (your
value added) to the discussion of the topic. That is, have you tried to look at the issue from a
unique perspective? Have you identified a gap in the literature? Have you discussed the ideas
using your own words? Also very important is, how you try to bring the theories/models that
were discussed in the course to support your arguments.
4.Your paper should include:
a. Title page with an abstract
b. Introduction ( include a discussion of the purpose of the research here and an over
view of the topic)
c. Statement of major contribution (s) (value added)
d. A descriptive statistics of the data you use and put each chart and graph
e. Discussion/Analysis
f. Conclusion
g. Appendices
h. References
5. The paper should be approximately 15 pages excluding charts, tables and graphs.

paper? Were the results communicated effectively? Was there effective use of media?
Were you able to answer questions from the audience? (An oral presentation rubric will be
given as a guideline)

Define the properties of your product and the target markets by using the micro and macroeconomic concepts that were covered in the units, which will be used as an input for your marketing strategy. In particular address the following issues:
In your introduction highlight the characteristics of the product x and the business. You should also focus on following question:
• Is the price set by the markets or Government?
• Is the firm operating in a competitive market?

Ultrasound and Gestatioanl Diabetes

The outline of final project
1. Introduction
2. The background of global emissions and attention drawn to it by establishment of millennium development goals
3. The attributions and attempts of Australian government to curb carbon and greenhouse emissions to prevent climate changes that alter performance in horticulture
4. Policies formulated towards depletions in horticultural performance
5. Importance of the policies based on trade, climate changes and trends, and impacts of the policies on performance of the sector

Feedback from Lecturer:
Shorten the intro/background part so that it is not too long. The first paragrapth about basic info about horticulture is not important at all except for the last two sentences
– Except for this introduction, none of the key issues required in the project draft is addressed. You need to discuss:
– How CC impacts your business: See what happens when the world becomes hotter, more extreme events (droughts, heatwaves, storms, floods, haistone, sea level rise, ocean acidification ect), changing in weather pattern (rainfall, sunlight, cloud formation ect), and the easier spread of infectious diseases/pest physically affect your affect your production capacity and distribution capacity as well as workers’ health in the sector. Note that workers in this sector has to work long hour under the sun.
– C tax impacts: Whether your industry/firm is subject to tax or not. Note that not all industries are subject to tax and not all firms are, only when they reach a certain level of CO2 that they will. Does the tax indirectly affect the firm, for example through the higher price of inputs (if inputs are subject to tax) or changes in demand (due to a substitute/complement products being taxed or subsidized). If you are taxed, are you eligible for any of the government’s “industry assistance” programs?
– DAP impacts: How your firm/industry benefit from DAP? Is it indirectly affected if one of its substitute/complement product benefit from DAP?
– What opportunities/threads/adaptation strategies are for the firm/industry. At a bare minimum, you have to look at the 8 types of risks, different opportunities and types of adatation (Module 3) and relate them to your business

Case Management Plan

Format: no specified format.

Referencing – in-text and bibliography: APA 6th edition style.

Students will need to;

create an original ‘case study’ and
develop a management plan based on the case study
The case study you create (approximately 250 words) should involve a child with an emotional or behavioural disorder which is causing significant behaviour problems in a real or hypothetical scenario. The case study should be based on as real a scenario as is possible – use research, actual practical experience, or discuss with classroom teachers with whom you have contact.

The behaviour management plan you develop (approximately 1,750 words) should be one which is able to be implemented in a “real life” situation and should offer a teacher (and school) the best opportunities of improving outcomes for the child represented in the case study.

It is important that you ensure that the decisions you make will take practical classroom implementation into consideration. You will need to be aware of your own developing ‘personal teaching philosophy’ which will evolve as you consider your personal contexts and attributes and as you explore teaching philosophies introduced in this unit (and other units).

You may refer to ‘individual education plans’ when developing your behaviour management plan, but do remember that many of these are quite general in nature.

You may include a range of support materials in an appendices section if you wish.

There are a number of issues which you need to demonstrate understanding of and these include (but are not restricted to);

context (age, gender, school, neighbourhood, etc.)
types of behaviours demonstrated
nature of disorder(s) being case managed – with relevant “evidence” of diagnosis or lack thereof
hypothetical school and home history of student
examples of situations in which the student finds him/herself and triggers which lead to problems
research underpinning all recommendations made
consider feedback, monitoring, evaluation and adjustment to the plan
Marking Rubric:

Work is complete, with both Case Study and Management Plan being included. Length is appropriate – with a word limit of no more than 2,200 words
The Case Study and Management Plan is entirely realistic. They provide a usefully detailed analysis of the child’s situation and provide a realistic plan which could be successfully implemented in a mainstream classroom
All elements of the assessment instructions (above) have been incorporated into your assignment
There is clear evidence of good research and referencing has adhered strictly to the APA sixth edition format
The assignment is well organised, succinctly presented, grammatically correct, and all syntax and spelling is correct.
