we will hold an exhibition under the theme of Al Hajj (Muslims’ pilgrimage).
1. introduction (2 pages): it should explains the theme and how it will help in understanding the world of Islam. and how the selected objects are connected to each other and describe the theme. also you can include some information about pilgrimage and al kabba. (you can check some museums’ catalogue to help you get the idea).
2. select 15 objects: (from the 7th century to the 18th century)
for each object you need the object’s image, label (add the basic information only answering the questions what, where and when.not more than 50 words for each label).
for example a pryer carpet, western Persia, Abbased Empier circa 800
if painting: it should also contain the artists name and date of birth.
3. for each object you should write a catalogue description: talks about the period of this object, importance of the period,significant kings. (not more than 220 words )
4. audio script: choose the five best objects and write a script answering the following questions
a. what do you want the people to be hearing as they walk through the exhibit and look at these five pieces?
b.Are you going to explain it?are you going to draw their attention to specific details? are you going to ask them to think about something when they look at it? are you going to have music? (between 200- 250 words for each).
