The writing assignment is to evaluate how well the Aquarium accomplishes its stated mission of instilling “a sense of wonder, respect and stewardship for the Pacific Ocean, its inhabitants and ecosystems.” In light of the lecture you just watched, do they do a decent job of conveying to the public the realities of the current state of our oceans, or would their mission be better stated as drawing on ocean diversity to provide entertainment to the public?
