Write an analysis in which you discuss the theme of a short work of fiction in terms of the characters and setting. The short work of fiction you choose must be one listed below:
O’Connor’s “A Good Man Is Hard to Find”
Joyce’s “Araby”

Grading Criteria:
–ability to develop a thesis or main point that responds thoughtfully and with originality to the assigned topic
–ability to support the thesis through the use of relevant details and examples
–ability to analyze a short work of fiction by thoroughly considering its relevant elements; in this case, theme in relation to characterization and setting.
–ability to use standard English (correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation)
