Effective Marketing Practices in Healthcare

In this unit, you become the sole owner of a healthcare organization. You would like to
increase marketing potential while maintaining social responsibility within your field. As a
new owner, you are not afforded a budget to hire a marketing expert and must develop the
marketing strategy and subsequent collateral materials yourself. Your objective for this unit
is to develop a marketing package that promotes your healthcare organization. By the end
of this unit, you will become the subject matter expert on developing and deploying a
marketing strategy for a healthcare organization.
● Submit your marketing package as one (1) Word document. To do this, you will
need to use Page Break and copy/paste functions. Failure to submit your
marketing package into one (1) document may result in a grade reduction.
● Your final submission must include each of the following:
● Professional letter from you to the local Chamber of Commerce introducing your new
healthcare organization to the community. This is your opportunity to make a good,
first impression, so be sure to incorporate the elements you would want to promote.
● Identify the 5 P’s of healthcare marketing in your organization
● Create mission and vision statements
● Develop codes of professional conduct which support social responsibility in your
select healthcare field
● Record a 30-second radio announcement (using a free online voice recorder such as
vocaroo.com). You will provide the audio link to your instructor on a separate page in
your marketing package.
● Design a print advertisement (e.g. billboard, bus, newspaper, etc.). You will provide
the print advertisement that you create on a separate page in your marketing
package.
● All materials in your marketing packet must be completely original. Copying and
pasting work from other sources for this assignment is strictly prohibited.
Remember, you are developing a marketing package for your own healthcare
organization; make it unique.
● Although the use of APA formatting is not required for this assignment, proper
grammar, spelling, and punctuation are expected.

The rise of Jacksonian democracy and the Democratic Party is widely hailed as the “Age of the Common Man.” Perhaps. Using the Foner text, Give Me Liberty (Chapter 10) and the documents in Chapter 11 in For the Record defend Jackson’s presidency and his positive influence on the political system or take the other position and draw up an editorial showing that his presidency was anything but the “age of the common man”.
The rise of Jacksonian democracy and the Democratic Party is widely hailed as the “Age of the Common Man.”
Perhaps. But what about a states rights defense of individual rights? What about the treatment of Native
Americans? Women? African Americans? Make an argument for one or the other side of this question.

5. Calculate the CMI for this new group of patients with the updated FY 2016 relative weights.
6. Analyze the difference in the CMI, and explain what the difference means to this healthcare organization. What is the financial impact to them?
7. Submit both Excel files and your discussion to your instructor for this assignment.

General Feedback: Juan,
I am returning this rubric to you without
assigning points because it is lacking the
section on Self Psychology as well as
some greater elaboration and examples of
the concepts. I hope you will consider
rewriting it to achieve a grade in the B
range.
The Self-Psychology section alone is
worth 30 out of 100 points so this paper is
already below a C—a failing grade—and
there are other issues with your paper that
will also have point reductions. For
example, you need a greater elaboration
on the specifics of the neurophysiology
and more examples of how your client’s
attachment and self-issues are
manifested—e.g. what does your client do
when engaged in social interactions
(including therapy) that show his
attachment or self issues? How does he
regulate his affect and impulses? This
paper needs more specificity around the
concepts.
You can use the grading rubric above as a
guideline to help you notice what you
have and where you need to elaborate.
Your writing style is very interested and
creative, but an academic paper ultimately
is looking for the rational and facts to
support the rational.

Corporate Social Responsibility

By using corporate social responsibility (CSR) the tobacco industry is seeking to change their unethical public image. Evaluate this strategy using three ethical principles of the Global Business Standards Codex.

Intercultural Communication

:

In what ways does the U.S. legal system reflect the European American view of argumentation and persuasion? Does your culture value a particular style of persuasion? Do your own preferred ways of persuading others reflect your culture’s style of persuasion?

Write a 600 to 1,000 word reaction paper, with particular attention to discussion of any new perspective that you gained, based on information in the reports. [Note: Remember to use in-text citations, including page number(s) of any reference(s).]

Mexican-Americans constitute only one Spanish-speaking community within the U.S. The picture becomes more complex when one adds Central and Latin America. Check the most recent census for your area. What population of Spanish-speaking or other ethnic groups live in your city or region? Include census information for your state and your region or community in your response. What, if any, support networks for non-English speaking groups exist in your community/region? (For example, are there any local foreign language newspapers or news agencies, social clubs, festivals, specialized business enterprises that cater to a particular ethnic group, or ESL [English as a Second Language] programs? If an ESL program exists in your community, you may find it interesting — but are not required — to contact at least one program to learn about their criteria for working with adult learners, hours of availability and whether or not transportation resources exist. Note: In many areas, the community resource department of the local public library — or its web site — is likely to be a helpful resource about ESL programs in the area.)

Exercise 2:

For many non-English speaking newcomers, there is a great desire to learn English, but many communities provide limited or no opportunities. Hispanics/Latinos oftentimes must overcome obstacles including lack of personal transportation, non-existent programs or programs at a distance, varying schedules of work hours, lack of child care and cost can be a factor if the ESL program is not operated by a sponsor that uses volunteers. Additionally, a difficulty faced by sponsors of support programs is how to get information about their services to the Hispanic/Latino population that the program seeks to serve. What thoughts or ideas do you have about possible solutions to these challenges?

I do not have a copy of the book. All I know is it is pages 205-223 in chapter 9. I’m not even sure where to download a copy at.
