Political philosophy

1.Aristotle argues that” Every art and inquiry, and similarly every action and intentional choice, is held to aim at some good” (Nicomachean ethics). If we follow this logic we arrive at a hierarchy of goods, at the top of which we find a good that is desired for itself, and not for the sake of something else. Taking this teleological perspective of Aristotle’s into account, explain how human beings as (Zoon Politican) are related to the cities in which they live. Answering this question entails outlining Aristotle’s notion of (Zoon Politikan) and explaining in what sense “the city” can be argued to be natural.

Please make sure you in-text quote and always refer to the author if you take any ideas from them. I will upload the source i would like you to use for this question.

Cuban Revolution

Topic The Cuban Revolution
Essays must consult a minimum of 8 secondary sources (8 scholarly books or the equivalent in books and articles). You should aim to secure the best sources, not the ones easiest to obtain via the web. Where possible, your secondary sources should include a representative sample of works written about your topic over a fairly broad period of time. (For instance, if you are writing about the Civil War, you will want to look at works from the “Gilded Age,” the Progressive Era, the 1940s-1950s, the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, etc..) You will not be able to write about the changing historiography on a topic if you don’t know what it is!
Essays must present and defend a thesis. The thesis is your own main argument about the major trends (patterns) in historical interpretation of your topic.
In defending your thesis, you must present detailed evidence from your secondary sources. These must include properly identified and properly cited paraphrases, summaries, and quotations from your secondary sources.
You can analyze the development of your topic either chronologically or thematically, as long as you trace changes and explain differences in interpretation.
You must provide proper footnote citations to all sources quoted, paraphrased, or summarized in your paper. Your notes must be precise–they must refer to the specific pages of works that demonstrate the interpretations you are examining in your paper.

Be typed, double-spaced with 1 inch margins, 12-point font, and numbered pages.
Be a minimum of 8 typed pages.
Include a title and title page. The title does not have to be fancy, but should reflect the purpose of the project.
Be well-written and free of excessive grammatical errors, misspelled words, typos and other mistakes. You should pay careful attention to paragraph structuring; each paragraph should develop a single, coherent idea. Follow all rules of proper grammar and composition.
Use a minimum of 8 different sources.
Use the formal Chicago citation style for references (footnotes). Details on this citation style are laid out in chapters 16 and 17 of the Manual for Writers.
Include a bibliography, with primary and secondary sources listed separately.

CHINA AND INDIA in "Cases in Comparative Politics"

1. This is going to be an argumentative essay with a clear thesis, arguments supporting the thesis along with examples from the books to support your argument, and a strong conclusion. 2. This essay can be more than 1100 words, but NO more than 1500. 3. I need you to be descriptive of the arguments you make, BUT not too descriptive. Focus on a thesis and more on arguments to support the thesis. 4. I have not gotten an official topic for the essay, but I want the reader to read all the readings and get familiar with them until I submit the official question. They are heavy readings and a lot of information, so I suggest underlining things that could potentially be useful for the essay.
4. The topic will most likely be about comparing China and India: their government systems, cultures, ethnicity, and etc.
5. I will upload pictures of the book that the writer needs to read because the book cannot be accessed elsewhere. I highly suggest reading everything and familiarizing yourself with the topic in order to be prepared for the essay.
6. There might be more readings, but for now I only know about these 2 chapters on China and India.
7. Please, absolutely no other sources than the book I included. All arguments must come from the book called “Cases in Comparative Politics” by Patrick O’niel, Karl Fields, and Don Share.
