Maximising and minimising

Which is bigger, The Big One or Oblivion?
Using differentiation find the difference between maximum and minimum heights for both the roller coasters.

The height of the Oblivion coaster can be determined for 10 seconds after the coaster comes out of a loop by this polynomial

Calculate maximum and minimum heights using differentiation then draw the graph (by hand)
Confirm the factors of the Oblivion Coaster using factor theorem.

The brochure for The Big One coaster says that the height of the coaster can be determined by this polynomial model for the first 10 seconds

Calculate maximum and minimum heights using differentiation then draw the graph (by hand)

Compare the underground areas using the Trapezium rule and then confirm the areas using definite integration.

Assignment 1: Procedural Law and the Bill of Rights Due Week 4 and worth 200 points

The Bill of Rights finds its roots in documents such as the British Magna Carta of 1215 AD. It was one of the first documents that provided the common man independence from a monarch. It did imply that the federal government’s law dominated all others; however, it gave each state control of any laws outside of those reserved to the federal government. The Bill of Rights acts as a blueprint that every individual state uses to protect the rights of individual citizens. In this assignment, you will utilize the various concepts found in the Bill of Rights to provide the foundation of the various sections of the question.

Write a four to six (4-6) page paper in which you:

Compare and contrast two (2) of the sources of rights and fundamental principles found in the United States’ legal system as outlined by the text. Critically analyze and discuss two (2) steps of the criminal justice process from arrest to imprisonment. Identify and discuss the particular amendment related to arrest, search and seizures. Compare and contrast the concepts of probable cause and reasonable suspicion. In your own words, explain how they are similar or different. Examine and discuss the two (2) examples in which the exclusionary rule may not apply. Identify and discuss one (1) contemporary issue or case law related to the use of force. Use at least four (4) quality references. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources. Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions. Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length. The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

Research and analyze procedures governing the process of arrest through trial. Critically debate the Constitutional safeguards of key Amendments with specific attention to the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 14th Amendments. Describe the difference between searchers, warrantless searches, and stops. Use technology and information resources to research issues in the criminal procedure. Write clearly and concisely about the criminal procedure using proper writing mechanics.

Explain at least two of the challenges facing the public sector and how this structure may help to alleviate those challenges

9 essay quality questions need to answer, no Plagiarism:

(TCO A) A hospital can be owned and operated either publicly (by a government) or privately (by either a for-profit entity or a not-for-profit entity). Administering the hospital may be quite different depending on whether it is publicly owned or privately owned. Please explain ways in which the hospital may respond differently to “The Market” (that is, market forces) if it is publicly held as compared to privately held.

(TCO B) Stabilization should be one of the goals of an effective public policy. Explain at least three of the actions that the federal government can take in times of economic crisis to try to achieve stabilization.

(TCO C) Statutes enacted by legislatures, whether the Congress of the United States or at a state level, often are vague. Hence, the policy mandates given to public administrators via the legislation are vague. This also shifts much of the policy making to public administrators. Explain the advantages to the public of the public administrators, rather than the elected representatives, making policy via rules and regulations.

(TCO D) Explain why it is critical for the effectiveness of a public policy or program initiative to be measured. Please also define, or otherwise explain, the terms “policy outputs” and “policy outcomes.”

(TCO E) As a public administrator seeking funding to achieve policy objectives, one tool that you may be able to consider is the use of dedicated tax revenue. That action would require the authorization of the legislative branch and would need to be signed into law. Yet you could initiate the request that legislation (or an ordinance at a local level) be passed that provides that specific tax revenue would only be used for purposes of your program and/or department. Provide one specific example at the federal level of such a tax. Provide an example in general of such a tax at a local level. What is one advantage of having a dedicated source of revenue at the local level?

(TCO F) Define the term “public-private partnership.” Explain at least two of the challenges facing the public sector and how this structure may help to alleviate those challenges.

(TCO G) As a conservation measure, your state has recently passed a law lowering the maximum speed limit in the state to 55 miles per hour. As a public administrator in charge of the implementation, describe the steps that you feel should be taken so that the policy can be placed in effect in a cost-effective manner.

(TCO H) A problem with government, some might say, is that once an agency is established to implement a new public policy, that entity may continue to exist year-after-year without evaluation as to its continuing relevance. A “sunset provision” when an agency is created may help to overcome this potential issue. Please define or otherwise explain the term “sunset provision” in the context of the creation of an agency. Also, explain how such a provision may help the public.

English

Please make sure to include Thesis and conclusion paragraph.

For this assignment, you will write a thesis/support paper. You will pick your own topic for the paper (a few suggestions to get you started appear

a clear thesis, and support it with a paper of about 800 words.

If you are having trouble thinking of a topic or need some examples to get you started, take a look at the following list. (These are stated in the

form of questions):
