Henry VIII. The personal religious views held by these two central characters appear clear, but how is their approach to religion viewed by you, the viewer

or audience? When applied to these two characters, do you view their religious viewspositively or negatively? Do you see religion a positive or a

B. As a concluding exercise, I’d like to return your attention to the sentiments of thesyllabus for this course and encourage you to consider in what ways

and to what degree you found the four readings instructive.

I stated in the syllabus that our approach to these works would be to examine the actions and behaviors of their central characters, particularly the ways

each addressesthree of Life’s fundamental questions (they can be found in the Syllabus in Course Documents, if you’ve forgotten them). There wasalso a

fourth question: “To what extent and in what respects are responses tothese three questions interrelated – for you today, as well as for theindividuals in

the works considered?”

Consider your response to this prompt a personal one, and approach it as you see fit.

C. Over the decade or so that I’ve been presenting AUCW 180 (Western Heritage) here in the University, the social structure – as well as the academic

structure — of this country, as well as the University, haschanged rapidly and drastically – as it has, I suspect, in most societies of the WesternWorld.

It seems obvious, though it has not yet been openly acknowledged at most universities,what has long been viewed as “traditional classroom instruction” is

on its last legsthroughout this country. The question before us is what will replace it. Though onlinecourses will apparently be a key player in the

immediate future, will their ubiquitouspresence be an enhancement to student engagement, or a curse?

I’ve posed the question to you already: If everything you need for a course such as this isavailable on the Internet, what becomes of the activities of the

traditional class?

As you know this is an online class.
What, if anything, worked for you in a class such as this? What might have better worked for you? What changes would you suggest? What should be
changed before I begin my Summer class in June 2018?

Task Description: Prepare and submit a written report on your project. The report must provide detailed elaboration of the findings in the

presentation of Powerpoint (attached) and is to include:

• Discussions,

Attached an appendix that incorporates the amended proposal you developed for Assessment #1 (attached) that reflects the actual conduct of the

Knowledge Requirements:
This project requires the knowledge of excel and students are required to
use the excel functions to tackle the project.
Group Requirements:
Ideally, each group should have 3 students. I also accept groups with 2
students. I do not recommend some students to pursue this project
individually because of high amount of work loads needed.
Submission Requirements:
Each Group should submit their spreadsheets via Canvas and hand in a
hard copy of the final project to the instructor. Each group should
combine the data into one excel file. To avoid duplicated submissions each
group should choose only one group member to submit and the excel file
should contain each group members’ names and student Ids.
If the group information is missing or incomplete on either excel file
and/or hard copy, 10 points will be taken out from the final project grade.
Descriptions of Project:
Each group should choose one company of its interest and making
capital budgeting investment decisions.
Project Requirements:
1. Describe the company and industry it is operating in. (5 points)
2. Choose two other companies as its competitors (Should be in the
same industry) and use past 5 years’ financial data to construct the
ratio analysis and common-size statements and make comparisons
financially among them. Reason the differences in their performance
both qualitatively and quantitively (such as using Du Pont Identity).

3. Construct the pro Forma financial statements (balance sheets, income
statements and statement of cash flows) for next 6 years and state
clearly the validity of your assumptions such as sales growth, payoff
ratio etc. (10 points)
4. Compute the external financing needed and provide valid reasons
how the company will choose the source of its financing and make
the financial statements balanced. (10 points)
5. Compute the WACC for the company and elaborate clearly the
capital structure and tax rate. (5 points)

They have also installed driverless capability into the cars, with plans to make driverless capability the norm in the future, with the

prospect of removing a human driver altogether.

Temporary Urbanism is a national initiative that encourages cities to use vacant spaces for ‘temporary use’ in ways that benefit the public. Often these spaces are dormant, waiting for renters, developers to obtain permits, interested buyers, or other reasons. In some cities, pop up parks, community gardens, art displays, or community events have taken place on vacant lots (or in empty building storefronts) as part of the temporary urbanism movement. Not only does this benefit a neighborhood by providing more activity and variety, but it improves aesthetics, and decreases litter, crime or vandalism often drawn to vacant spaces. The vacant spaces might be private or city owned. If privately owned, yet not going to be used within a year’s period, cities are encouraged to work with the property owner to consider positive, temporary uses that would be a win-win situation.
For Field Task 2, locate a vacant space in your city that would benefit from a dose of temporary urbanism. Take a photo. (For this field task, you don’t have to look into the history or ownership of the space unless you want to.) Propose a temporary use of this space that would connect the people who live in the surrounding area. So, you will need to find out more about the area so what you propose is relevant to the identity of neighborhood. In other words, this is an authentic placemaking exercise as well. Succinctly describe your idea and why it would work well in this particular location. Remember that it is temporary use … so your suggestions cannot involve a large investment or permanent structures. Be creative. You are welcome to suggest community organizations that might want to get involved.

This is a vacant space and it could be used as a quiet placefor yoga sport for example, because yoga can be done anywhere, if there is space and a desire.To make people’s experiences more positive, happier and more prosperous and transform it into a smart place. Also, growing ornamental plants scattered around the place for relaxation to visitors. The vision is to make ithappier place by embracing innovation, innovation and technology as means to improve the quality of life and to make it more suitable for living, working and sustainability.
