Purpose of Assignment

The purpose of this assignment is to help students understand the influence that ethics and social responsibilities have on the strategic planning process.

Assignment Steps

Write a 700-word report in which you address the following:

Define and explain the role of ethics and social responsibility in developing a strategic plan while considering stakeholder needs and agendas.
Include at least one example of a company overstepping ethical boundaries for stakeholder agendas, and identify what types of preventative measures could be taken to avoid this type of situation.
Cite 3 scholarly references, including at least one peer-reviewed reference from the University Library.

Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.

Instructions:
In a 4.5-page essay, please respond to the topic below. Your essay must be composed in formal essay
format and must include the following:
• a formal introduction,
• an analytical thesis located at the end of the introduction,
• a developed body of three supporting points that relate back and support your thesis,
• topic sentences that relate directly back to the thesis,
• transitions that connect your supporting points,
• original analysis/insight that examines your thesis,
• critical thinking terminology,
• a functional conclusion.
Topic (Taken from Thinking for Yourself, pg. 168):
Write an autobiographical essay of 4.5 typed pages (full pages) in which you show how you
discovered some of your value assumptions through a [conflict] with another person, your own culture, a
visited failure, or a newly adopted culture. Explain what the [conflict] [was] and explain how it resulted

pro forma statements
-Analyze the pro forma statements and analysis created in the previous module and create a detailed PowerPoint presentation with speaker’s notes to demonstrate why the bank should give your company a loan. The amount requested and loan terms should be financially manageable and you need to justify the amount requested in your presentation. Your presentation should include:

-A clear explanation of how much money is being requested from the lender and how the money will be used to expand the business.
-General explanation of the business; who are the customers, where is it located, how long has it been in existence, etc.
-An overview of the 12 Month Pro Forma Budgeted Income —
– Statement created in the previous module with ratios.
-An analysis of the year end income statement that includes key financial ratios.
-An overview of the financial strengths and weaknesses of the company and an explanation of how those elements will be leveraged and minimized to ensure that the loan will be a good solid investment and financially manageable. Make sure to use financial ratios to support your argument and help sell this idea to the lender.
-Finally, keep in mind that the audience of this presentation will be the lender and that the goal of this presentation is to sell the Cloud Ware company as a good investment to the potential lender.

Students will select one aspect of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to
Action; for example, health, education, justice, child welfare, language and culture, media, sports, business, commemoration, etc.
1. Students will analyse pertinent documentation outlining the current state for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people in Canada in this chosen

area and why the Calls to Action include this area. Documentation analyzed will differ depending on the topic explored, but will include

reference to course readings, government policy, statistical data, empirical research, peer reviewed articles, book chapters, websites, etc.
2. A further analysis will determine what actions are currently underway in response to the Calls to Action in the chosen area of concern.
3. The expectation is that both required texts for the course, Truth and Reconciliation (2015) and Simpson (2008) will be referred to

extensively in the essay.
4. Finally, a key aspect of the paper will be to express the personal commitments the student will take towards reconciliation.

An important competency of an advanced practice nurse is to engage in scholarship. Nursing practice should not be based solely on opinions or

past practices but on the results of scientific evidence. The master’s- prepared advanced practice nurse is expected to integrate prior and

current evidence-based knowledge, skills, and attitudes and apply them to practice. The master’s-prepared advance practice nurse is also

expected to analyze gaps in knowledge or evidence, formulate research questions, and implement solutions for improving practice in one’s

specialty area (National League for Nursing [NLN], 2010). This week, we will define scholarship and evidence-based practice, consider an area of
