essay should be included:
The British Colonies in New England have always been given preference in tracing the origins of the United States of America. Growing up, all I

personally ever learned about in elementary school and beyond was the Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving. I now realize that the Puritans

represented only one chapter in the story of colonial America. It should be obvious from the Textbook Chapters and Video Lessons that colonial

America was an extremely diverse place filled with people that did not look like, think like, or act like Puritans in New England. For this

online discussion, think about all the different colonial systems and societies you encountered in Unit I and answer the following two questions

with a minimum of one paragraph per response.

1) Which of these New World colonial societies would you have preferred to live in and why?

2) Which of these New World colonial societies would you least like to have lived in and why?

For these two responses, you may choose between the British Northern Colonies, the British Middle Colonies, the British Southern Colonies, the

Dutch and New Amsterdam colonies, New France, New Spain, or even specific Native American societies.

Remember to provide specific reasons for your selections.

Your response should be a minimum length of one substantial paragraph for each of these two questions.

Discussion: Transitioning From Closed to Open Systems

Discussion: Transitioning From Closed to Open Systems
How do effective nurse leaders and others approach problem solving and decision making in organizations? As suggested in this week’s Learning Resources,

systems theory provides a valuable way to assess situations and prepare to address problems.

For this week’s Discussion, you identify an issue or process that could be improved and apply knowledge and strategies related to systems theory.
Note: You may find it helpful to view the Assignment instructions and use the same problem for this Discussion.
To prepare:
Review the information presented in this week’s Learning Resources on systems theory and the difference between open and closed systems.
Reflect on the practices and processes with which you are familiar in your organization. Identify one problematic issue or process that could be

improved.
Consider the problem from a closed-system perspective. Then think about how the issue or process you selected could be addressed by viewing it from an

open-system perspective. How would the transition from a closed- to an open-system view help you and others to address the problem and improve outcomes?

JOURNAL ARTICLE REVIEWS

JOURNAL ARTICLE REVIEWS
You will write2Journal Article Reviews (Modules/Weeks1 and 5), which will be based upon your choice of articles from theprofessional, peer-reviewed journalarticles provided in Blackboard. No outside articles will be accepted. Each Journal Article Summary must be3–5 double-spacedpages (not including the title and reference pages)and created in a Microsoft Word document.Use the following guidelines to create your paper:
1. Start your paper with a title page, correctly formatted per current APA. Use the provided template and the basic current APA components will be in place. Divide your paper into sections with the following Level One headings: Summary, Reflection, and Applicationas described on the template.
2. Develop asummary(40 points)of the main concepts from the article. Do not duplicate the article’s abstract. If the article describes a research study, include brief statements about the hypotheses, methods, results, discussion, and implications. If any test measures or statistical methods used are given in the article, do not provide detailed descriptions of these. Short direct quotations from the article are acceptable, but avoid long quotes in a paper this size. This section is the foundation of your Journal Article Review (at least a third of your paper). Make sure you include the core points from the article, even if it means a longer section. Do not reference any additional articles in your summary.
3. In approximately 1 page, reflect(15 points)on the article using your own words. Appropriate comments for this part of the paper could include, but are not limited to, your initial response to the article, comments regarding the study’s design or methodology (if any), insights you gained from reading the article, your reasons for being interested in this particular article, any other readings that you may plan to do based upon having read the article, and other thoughts you have that might further enhance the discussion of your article. Your subjective comments in this section mustbe clearly tied to main points from the article, not peripheral ideas. Again, do not reference any other article.
4. In your final section, in approximately 1 page, write how you would applythe information you have learned from this article to a particular counseling setting. Make this setting onethat would typically be seen in human services counseling—community services agencies, adoption agencies, volunteer counseling settings such as in churches, etc. Develop this section as if you are a pastor or clinician and your parishioner or client has come to you with a problem—grief, depression, substance abuse, relationships problems, etc.— needing your help. Adequately describe the counseling scenario including the presenting problem. Draw out concepts from the article and apply them to the scenario as if you were guided onlyby the content of the article. Show the reader how you expressly drew from the journal article in this application section and cite correctly, per APA.

5. Use the provided current APA template and personalize the template for your particular article.
Point values for each section as well as for writing can be found on the grading rubric. Remember that all papers in the program must be written to professional (graduate level) standards and writing can contribute 15 points to your score.

Women's Health

Respond to the questions in full sentences. Be sure to use standard English grammar and spelling
What are the biophysical, psychological, sociocultural, behavioral and health system factors operating in this situation?
What actions would you take to provide more sensitive and effective care for women who are lesbian, bisexual, or transgender?
Describe the major health concerns of this woman and what role the community health nurse might play in this situation?

Scenario:

Betty is 45 years old, self-employed, divorced three times, and mother of three boys and one daughter. Two years ago, her last husband died of

lung cancer at age 54.

She was referred to the local clinic because she has been feeling depressed. During the interview, Betty informs the community health nurse that

she is tired of living the old way, and she is now involved with a woman and considers herself a lesbian. She admits that she has been sexually

involved with both men and women during the past three years. She indicates that she is afraid she might have cancer because her mother died of

breast cancer five years ago at the age of 67. She does not have health insurance. Betty stated that she is embarrassed to get a pap smear

because she heard that gay women do not need to get a pap smear since they are not having “real sex” vaginally.

Final IT Project

ECO 202 Final Project Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
The final project for this course is the creation of economic history analysis presentation. Macroeconomics is the part of the study of

economics that is concerned
with the aggregate or the whole. Macroeconomics provides us with tools and methods to understand how our economy works as a whole. It deals with
economy-wide issues such as price levels, employment, national income, and growth. As a student of macroeconomics, you will learn how to

understand the
changes occurring throughout our economy and how our economy is influenced by our decisions, by our government, and by other countries.
In this assignment, you will perform an in-depth analysis of a 10-year period in U.S. economic history between 1950 and today. In your analysis,

you will examine
macroeconomic data, basic macroeconomic principles, government actions, and historical/current events to give a clear and comprehensive picture

of your
chosen time period and detail how they are related to one another.
The project is divided into three milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure

quality final
submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules Two, Four, and Five. The final project will be submitted in Module Seven.
In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:
 Apply macroeconomic models to historical and current events for drawing connections between the events and their economic impact
 Determine the effects of government intervention and fiscal and monetary policy actions for their impact on the economy
 Analyze macroeconomic data for their implication to economic outcomes and forecasting
 Analyze macroeconomics trends and government policies for their influence on industries and households
Prompt
For this assignment, you will first need to choose a 10-year period in U.S. economic history between 1950 and today. You will then present the

data collected
from government sources related to a variety of macroeconomic phenomena and analyze them in conjunction with the models and core principles to

explain the
economy-wide changes during your chosen time period. You will also examine the events of the time in their relation to the macroeconomic issues

as well as the
corresponding government actions taken (fiscal and monetary policies) to address the issues. The final presentation should be 15–20 slides using

PowerPoint,
Prezi, Keynote, or PreZentit, including title and reference slides. Be sure to include speaker notes to accompany the data and graphs,

information, and
explanations presented on the slide.
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Examination of Macroeconomic Data (Be sure to include speaker notes to accompany all of your responses.)
a) Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Growth
i. Analyze the annual GDP during the time frame to calculate specific growth rates and trends in the U.S. economy.ii. Choose two or three of the

most relevant historical and/or current events during this time period that impacted the U.S. economy. Apply
specific models developed throughout the course to demonstrate how these events influenced national output during this time.
b) Unemployment and Inflation
i. Analyze unemployment and inflation data during the time frame in their relation to output and growth, using macroeconomic principles
and models to explain their effect.
ii. Apply specific models developed throughout the course to demonstrate how the previously selected historical and/or current events
influenced both unemployment and inflation during this time.
c) Analyze interest rate fluctuations throughout this time period and their effects on other aspects of the economy. How would these

fluctuations
affect inflation? Would investments and foreign trade rates increase or decrease? How would the GDP of the American economy be affected?
d) Foreign Trade
i. Analyze data representing levels of U.S. imports and exports during this time. How do they relate to other economic outcomes such as
the GDP, foreign exchange rates, and so on?
ii. Apply specific models developed throughout the course to demonstrate how domestic and foreign events (e.g., wars, changes in trade
barriers, development abroad) have impacted the level of and changes in imports and exports in the United States.
II. Government Policies (Be sure to include speaker notes to accompany all of your responses.)
a) Fiscal Policy
i. Examine the fiscal policies in place at the start of your specific time period in relation to their effects on macroeconomic issues. For
instance, consider level of government spending, taxation, subsidies, unemployment benefits, and so on.
ii. Analyze new fiscal policy actions undertaken by the U.S. government throughout the time period by describing their intended effects,
using macroeconomic principles to explain the actions.
iii. Explain the impact of the new fiscal policy actions on individuals and businesses within the economy by integrating the macroeconomic
data and principles.
b) Monetary Policy
i. Examine the monetary policies in place at the start of your specific time period in relation to their effects on macroeconomic issues. For
instance, consider the discount rate set by the Fed, the rates on reserves, open market operations, and so on.
ii. Analyze new monetary policy actions undertaken by the U.S. government throughout the time period by describing their intended
effects, using macroeconomic principles to explain the actions.
iii. Explain the impact of the new monetary policy actions on individuals and businesses within the economy by integrating the
macroeconomic data and principles.
III. Conclusion (Be sure to include speaker notes to accompany all of your responses.)
a) Summarize the overall trends and outcomes of this 10-year period by integrating the data, economic models, and historical analysis.
b) Defend your agreement or disagreement with the actions taken by the U.S. government during this time based upon your analysis and
application of the macroeconomic theories.Milestones
