How Does Integrated EMR Lower Healthcare Cost in Underdeveloped Countries?
Examine the impact of adoption of integrated electronic medical records on healthcare cost in underdeveloped countries. Integrated EMR is a comprehensive system that enables health care professionals and clinicians to timely access to patient data to improve care and lower cost. Health IT literature has been focusing on examining the impact of EMR in developed countries; therefore, there is a need to study the impact in underdeveloped countries. Many underdeveloped countries experience difficulties in reducing healthcare cost without sacrificing quality.

Taxation Coursework
Taxpayers are entitled to organise their financial affairs in such a way that their tax burden is minimised. This perfectly legal activity is known as tax avoidance. Over the years tax advisors have shown great ingenuity in devising very complex and highly artificial tax avoidance schemes to exploit “loopholes” in the tax system. These schemes often result in a significant loss of tax revenues.
Recently David Cameron and his mother received press attention because Mrs Cameron had given her son two gifts of £100,000 each.

Requirement
In an essay of approximately 1,800 words, briefly provide background on the inheritance tax planning scheme used by Mary Cameron, then discuss, using appropriate legislation and case law, whether or not you consider this scheme to be tax avoidance or tax evasion.
You may wish to discuss the DOTAS regime, whether or not this applies to this type of inheritance tax planning and if you feel that there is any way that HMRC can prevent blatant tax loophole exploitation. You can choose other areas for examples to illustrate your points.
The GCU library website has a Lexis Nexis site, which provides an excellent legislation and case law reference section.
A fully automated Liver and HCC Tumor segmentation using cell density and Morphological Operations
A fully automated Liver and HCC Tumor segmentation using cell density and Morphological Operations
An early detection and diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is most discriminating step in liver cancer management. Image processing plays very vital role to early detection and diagnosis of HCC. The fast and accurate CT liver images segmentation is a very challenging in detection, diagnosis, clinical studies and treatment planning of HCC. The purpose of this research is to develop an automatic HCC detection and diagnosis system that detect and segment all type of HCC lesion from liver CT images with maximum sensitivity and minimum specificity. The proposed method planned an automatic liver segmentation and then HCC lesion segmentation. In first step, we created mask based on chosen histogram thresholds to predict best frame and segmentation of liver using prior knowledge of location and shape. Secondly proposed HCC lesion based on 3D with combinations of edge detection techniques, histogram analysis, and morphological processing to detect and segment the HCC lesions. The experiments were carried out with 31 CT cases involving 18 HCC lesion and 13 non lesion. The simulation and experiments result demonstrated high accuracy 98% and at low 2% false positive which compared with manual segmentation done by radiologist.

Critiquing Quantitative, Qualitative, or Mixed Methods Studies
To prepare:
Select a health topic of interest to you that is relevant to your current area of practice (the impact of the nurses’ fatigue on patients’ safety). The topic may be your Course Portfolio Project or a different topic of your choice.
Using the Walden Library, locate two articles in scholarly journals that deal with your portfolio topic: 1) Select one article that utilizes a quantitative research design and 2) select a second article that utilizes either a qualitative OR a mixed methods design. These need to be single studies not systematic or integrative reviews (including meta-analysis and metasynthesis). You may use research articles from your reference list. If you cannot find these two types of research on your portfolio topic, you may choose another topic.
Locate the following documents in this week’s Learning Resources to access the appropriate templates, which will guide your critique of each article:
Critique Template for a Qualitative Study
Critique Template for a Quantitative Study
Critique Template for a Mixed-Methods Study
Consider the fields in the templates as you review the information in each article. Begin to draft a paper in which you analyze the two research approaches as indicated below. Reflect on the overall value of both quantitative and qualitative research. If someone were to say to you, “Qualitative research is not real science,” how would you respond?
To complete this Assignment:
Complete the two critiques using the appropriate templates.
Write a 2- to 4-page paper that addresses the following:
Contrast the types of information that you gained from examining the two different research approaches in the articles that you selected.
Describe the general advantages and disadvantages of the two research approaches featured in the articles. Use examples from the articles for support.
Formulate a response to the claim that qualitative research is not real science. Highlight the general insights that both quantitative and qualitative studies can provide to researchers. Support your response with references to the Learning Resources and other credible sources.
As you complete this Assignment, remember to:
Submit your paper to Grammarly and SafeAssign through the Walden Writing Center. Based on the Grammarly and SafeAssign reports, revise your paper as necessary.
Reminder: The School of Nursing requires that all papers submitted include a title page, introduction, summary, and references. The School of Nursing Sample Paper provided at the Walden Writing Center provides an example of those required elements (available from the Walden University website found in this week’s Learning Resources). All papers submitted must use this formatting.
Combine all three parts of this assignment into one Word document including both critique templates and the narrative with your references. Submit this combined document.
