Research methodology

Consider that you are exploring the role of epistemology in research and the philosophical assumptions that provide insight into management research. You are gaining an understanding of how your own philosophical assumptions can influence your research and even the process of selecting a problem or issue to study. In this assignment, assume you are asked to begin to generate a broadly specified topic along the line of ‘local procurement as a means a mining company can use to boost its social acceptance within a remote area’ which will later guide you formulate the topic for your management dissertation project. For the start, you are required to think about some of the key parameters that may influence your choice of topic and to communicate initial ideas to the module Instructor for comment.

You should address each of the following points:

1) Outline the general management topic or problem that you plan to address in your dissertation. Fill the following guideline.

1. Aim, objectives, justification and feasibility of the dissertation
2. Literature review
List a minimum of 10 sources of academic information
3. Research methodology and methods
4. References

2) Explain how your selection of the topic or problem is influenced by your epistemological perspective(s).

Write it concisely.

to use Multisim to analyze noise in op-amp circuits

Op-Amp Noise Theory

The purpose of this lab is to learn to use Multisim to analyze noise in op-amp circuits. Students will capture screenshots of the noise spectral density curves which will provide a visual relationship of the output noise voltage versus frequency.

Read the document on configuring a noise analysis in Multisim. Week 7 – Configuring Noise Analysis in Multisim.pdf Following the instructions in pdf, construct the inverting Op-Amp circuit shown in figure 1. Run the simulation to measure the gain of the Op-Amp and record the values of R1 and R2 and the measured gain in the table below. (Use 5% tolerance for R1 and R2) Voltage gain (Av) R1 (5% tolerance) R2 (5% tolerance) Measured Voltage gain (Av) 1 1KΩ 5 1KΩ 10 1KΩ 12 1KΩ For the gain of 5 in the table above, run the noise analysis to obtain the results for noise voltage for R1 and R2. (Note: You need to run this noise analysis for the circuit with the gain of 5 only) Plot the noise spectrum density curve across frequency range of 100 Hz to 1 GHz. (Note: If your Multisim version does not support this option then try to download the trial version of Multisim Power Pro edition from NI website). Answer the following questions: Does the measured gain values match the given values? If not, explain why they are different? From the noise spectral density curve, explain the effect of increasing the frequency on the noise voltage. Is the voltage gain of the Op-Amp dependent on frequency? Please explain.

explain how emotions and social learning are suggested to affect memory and thought processing

Prior to beginning work on this discussion, please read “Cognition: Overview and Recent Trends” (pp. 3-8), “Neuroscience Bases of Learning” (pp. 9-15), and “Learning in a Cross-Cultural Perspective” (pp. 16-22) in your text.

Based on your resources this week, in an initial post of 450 to 600 words, explain how emotions and social learning are suggested to affect memory and thought processing. Apply skeptical inquiry to a brief discussion about how specific thinking styles may also be highly important to the learning process (Zhang & Sterberg, 2005, 2010). Explain the theoretical perspective of “wealth” as a predictor of academic success. Describe how the multifaceted complexities of “wealth” may affect performance and success. Apply the concept of “wealth” to your own past academic success. Do you personally capitalize on one particular definition of “wealth”? If so, how? Apply the Type I thinking style outlined in the Zhang and Sterberg (2010) “Learning in a Cross-Cultural Perspective” article to each of your responses.

“The Good Will and the Categorical Imperative” by Immanuel Kant

After reading ”The Good Will and the Categorical Imperative” by Immanuel Kant, respond to the A
following questions concerning cultural relativism and subjectivism located at the end of the
chapter. Your response to each question should be 700 to 300 words in length. Kant claims that a
good will is the only thing that can be considered “good without limitation.” What does he mean by
this? Do you find this claim plausible? Unlike hedonists. Kant believes that happiness is not always
good. What reasons does he give for thinking this? Do you agree with him? What is the difi‘erence
between doing something ”in conformity with dutY’ and doing something ‘from duty”? Kant claims
to have discovered a categorical imperative. a moral requirement that we have reason to follow
regardless of what we happen to desire. C on people have reasons for action that are completely
independent of their desires? According to Kant, it is morally permissible to act on a particular
principle (or maxim) only if “you can at the same time will that it become a universal law.” Do you
think this is a good test of whether an action is morally permissible? Can you think of any immoral
actions that would pass this test. or any morally permissible actions that would fail it? Kant later
gives another formulation of the categorical imperative: “50 act that you use humanity. whether in
your own person or in the person of any other, always at the same time as an end, never merely as
a means.” What does it mean to treat someone as an end? Are we always morally required to treat humans in this way [MO3.2]

Analyze the manner in which the investigator cooperates with the prosecutor to enhance the courtroom presentation

In the United States, both the federal government and the states have authority to indict for criminal wrongdoing. The federal government and each state have their own criminal statutes, court system, prosecutors, and police agencies. Use your textbook, the Internet, and / or Strayer Library to research articles on crime trial, prosecutor, and criminal investigator.

Write a four to five (4-5) page paper in which you:

Put yourself in the role of a prosecutor and explain the importance of the final report to the prosecution of a case. Further, analyze the possible impact of poorly completed final reports on the prosecution of a case. Review Figure 21.1 “The Use of Evidence in the Stages of the Criminal Justice Process” in Chapter 21 of the text and specify the manner in which each stage of the criminal justice process helps to build a successfully litigated action. Provide a rationale to support your response. Define a criminal investigator’s role in preparing a case for court. Analyze the manner in which the investigator cooperates with the prosecutor to enhance the courtroom presentation. Differentiate not guilty and acquitted. Give your opinion as to whether or not an acquittal means that the investigator failed. Support your position. Predict one to two (1-2) changes that will take place in criminal investigation in the next twenty (20) years. Provide a rationale to support your response. Use at least two (2) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar type Websites do not qualify as academic resources.
