Pop Culture

A few decades ago, pop culture had a more tactile aspect to it. If you wanted a book or album you had to go to the store and buy it. If you wanted to see a movie you had to walk to the cinema and purchase a paper ticket. The digital era has transformed and changed these aspects to a certain extent, making much consumption more instantaneous and less tactile. Do these two qualities affect our experience of art and entertainment? Does a book have a different impact if we hold it in our hands as we read? Does a song influence us differently if we have an album cover and liner notes to thumb through? Take a position and discuss.

A Deeper Analysis of Leaders

Review your ????E2 Leadership Essay and analyze other, different parts of the readings above that support additional conclusions arising from this second analysis.

Understand that you may not have your graded ????E2 back prior to the due date for this essay so don’t wait. Get started right away.

In a minimum 3-full-page essay (not counting Works Cited) further analyze the three styles of leadership from the required readings within the direct context of the leaders you selected for Essay 2. These leaders are still primary to your paper. Bring in support from the required texts that you did not use the first time.

Remember, the leaders you select must be doing current things and your sources must be current within the past 6 months. Additionally, the information reported by your sources must be similarly recent.

➤ Do not define leadership.

The approaches of your current leaders (not Trump) can be compared or contrasted with the required readings. Specific examples are required! Use your recent examples and sources to show (not tell) their leadership styles.

The goal of this essay is to discuss your leaders in detail, avoiding background information and focusing on current acts. Formulate a thesis statement that is neither a list nor an announcement that provide focus for your argument. Include recent examples that show your leaders being leaders and then bring in the texts as further support.

Do not repeat information from your research paper. Consider this more as a continuation of your research paper but with a separate, solid thesis statement (underlined or in red font).

Essay 3 is an argument essay.
It is not a narrative — you will need examples from sources. No personal anecdotes, no personal opinions, no “I” statements. 3 to 5 full pages. MLA Format

→ Recent source information correctly cited as parenthetical in-text citations in your essay.

→ Recent sources properly formatted in a Works Cited page that is not counted as part of the minimum page count. Here’s the first paper is attached for reference.

Design a traditional PR campaign plan for a government agency or a not-for-profit organization that wants to promote a cause. This campaign can be targeted at the city, state, or national level.

Option #1: Traditional Campaign

Design a traditional PR campaign plan for a government agency or a not-for-profit organization that wants to promote a cause. This campaign can be targeted at the city, state, or national level.

Here are some possible examples:

Your state health department hires you to promote healthy eating for school children, healthy eating for seniors, eating on a food-stamp budget, or a similar topic.
The League of American Bicyclists hires you to promote bicycling as a great family activity in your city or state and make residents aware of family-friendly bike trails in your area.
The Almond Advisory Board, a trade group of almond growers, hires you to promote almonds and increase their consumption.
The Alliance of Artists Communities hires you to promote residency programs in the U.S. and Canada for dancers from around the world.

Following the guidelines in textbook Chapter 18, your written plan is the blueprint of the entire campaign. Your plan should start with an executive summary and then outline the steps it will take to execute the program: 1) situation, 2) objectives, 3) audience, 4) strategies, 5) tactics, 6) calendar, 7) budget, and 8) evaluation.

The tactics or “how to do it” section will be heart of the plan. In addition to writing the plan, you should also write:

a press release
a series of social media posts for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
a blog post
either a Public Service Announcement or a brief speech that an expert might give as part of your campaign

Your well-written paper should meet the following requirements:

Use the readings for any module, four to six peer-reviewed articles or professional sources, and public relations blogs.
Your final project should be 8-10 pages long, not including the title page and references. Include the 8-step plan, Press Release, Social Media Posts, Blog Post and PSA/Speech in the same document.

Options approved by my teacher:
Option Number 1: The state health department in my area Silicon Oasis hires me to promote healthy living life style for the children. This will not only include eating healthy, but also encouraging children to take part in outside activities as opposed to staying inside the house watching TV and playing video games. Since this will be a local campaign I will work on how best this idea can be marketed and get support from parents and donors.

Option Number 2: The Book World Foundation hires me to promote reading of books for both adults and young children. Reading is very essential and it should be started at a very young age in order for the children to be successful in the future. However, parents play a huge role in promoting this by leading by example. In this case, I will be able to showcase the importance of reading book and how parents can support their children to love and understand the importance of reading.
