Topic: Empirical research
Larsen and Buss review the empirical work on explanatory style in Chapter 12.
After reading Chapter 12, respond to the following:
1. First, review this empirical research, and identify and describe in your own words the three key elements of explanatory style.
2. Next, think of a recent negative event in your life, such as receiving a lower grade on a test than you would have liked to receive. Analyze the explanatory style you used in identifying the cause of this event. Be sure to include SPECIFIC references to each of the three elements of explanatory style in your analysis.
