This research paper must be a minimum of 1250 words. In it, you will compare 2 literary texts from the course textbook that deal with the same topic, but do so in different ways, drawing on outside research to frame your discussion of these differences. Your purpose in writing this paper is to explain how the 2 texts treat their common subjects and how and why they differ in their handling of the material (i.e., how cultural changes affect the texts’ stances on/presentations of the issue at hand). All material not the student’s own must be cited properly with in-text citations and works cited entries (including the literary texts compared).
In writing your paper, you must use at least 3 outside sources (in addition to the literary works you are comparing). Build this bibliography usingLiberty’s LibraryResearch Guide for Englishfocusing particularly on TheCambridge Companions to Literature and Classics, Literature Criticism Online, Literature Resource Center, JSTOR, and the MLA International Bibliography.

Format your paper using MLA, APA, or Turabian style (whichever corresponds to your degree program). Submissions must include a title page, thesis statement and outline, essay, and works cited page.
