Instructions

 

Individually prepare and deliver a presentation discussing the strategic plans of an organisation of your choice, and proposing strategic options. Your presentation is to be made to the board of directors and you should:

  • Introduce your selected organisation, analyse its position in its market and analyse the effects

of existing plans

  • Critically discuss the relationship between, corporate, business and operational strategies
  • Apply strategic models and tools to develop strategic options for the organisation
  • Evaluate the strategic options you’ve developed

 

Submission

  • 1x PowerPoint Presentation (slides & script for presentation) (circa 15 minutes)
  • 1x Executive Summary; minimum 4 sources (circa 450 words)

Assignment 2 Task 2

Instructions:

Following your presentation in Assignment 2 Task 1 above, you should now prepare a new strategic plan:

  • Perform a force field analysis for your selected organisation
  • Create a (new) vision and mission for the organisation as well as accompanying business

objectives

  • Identify the change agents and propose a suitable structure for the implementation of the plan
  • Create a resourced implementation plan for the strategy, with a justified timeline for

implementation

  • Create design key success indicators.
  • Describe the potential risks during the implementation

 

 

Submission:

  • 1x Portfolio with your force field analysis, structure, implementation plan, success indicators

and potential risks (circa 2500 words) minimum 6 sources

5.2 Design key success indicators in order to monitor the implementation of the strategic plan

Assignment 2 Task 3

Instructions:

Reflect on the usefulness of change models such as Lewin, McKinsey 7s and Kotter for organisation.

You should also explain how you could be a change agent and the leadership skills you would need

to display in order to make changes successful.

 

Submission:

  • 1x Essay (circa 600 words) minimum 5 sources
