PART 3: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY PRESENTATION

An executive summary is a document produced for the business purpose of summarizing
and highlighting key findings of an in-depth analysis, report, or proposal. It’s purpose is
to allow stakeholders (often times executive leadership or board of directors) to become
rapidly familiar with a large body of research without having to read the entire report. For
this assignment you will have the responsibility of synthesizing the report produced in Part
2 down to an executive summary that can be presented to the board of directors. While
the deliverable is a narrated Powerpoint presentation, it’s imperative that it be based on
an executive summary and not the entire report. Summarize elements from the report in a
presentation in which you:
• Highlight key findings from the report.
• Discuss alignment of selected strategy with organization’s stated mission, vision and/or
goals.
• Demonstrate an appropriate and customized approach and tone for the target
audience’s level of knowledge an desired detail.
