Group Therapy with Addictions and Substance Use Disorders

In this video, you will observe a series of vignettes over many weeks time about a therapy group of people with addiction disorders. many of the

patients will have different disorders and will be at different stages of progress, some new to the group, some who have been in the group for

some time.

Please watch the 6 vignettes in the video below, demonstrating various group dynamics and group leader interventions. The videos will start from

the beginning, so to bypass the “pre-session commentary”, go to the right of the video screen, under “Chapters”, and select “Vignette 1” then

“Vignette 2a” and then “Vignettes 2b, 3a, 3b, and 4” respectively.

What stage of group development (Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing) would you identify was likely the stage for each group vignette?
What main group theme or specific group dynamic did you observe in each vignette?
