Executive Leadership Development Reading List

Purpose:

To develop an individual reading list that is designed for the professional development of
Executive Leadership students.

Directions:

Develop a five-book reading list designed for the Executive Leadership students. (That is, what
five books should every Executive Leadership student read?) Develop a written narrative that will
include the six following components:

1. A title page.

2. An introduction.

3. A list of each of the five recommended books.

4. A brief description of the essential knowledge that each book offers(no
more than one paragraph per book).

5. A conclusion.

6. References.

The essay should be 350-400 words and follow APA style and format. Print the word
count on the title page.

MISC:
Please choose 5 books very strong on leadership. I have a few suggestions, you may use all or some of these, BUT you do not HAVE to:
-The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven R. Covey
-How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
-Driveby Daniel H. Pink
-Leadership on the Line: Staying Alive Through the Dangers of Leading by Linsky and Heifetz
-Turn the Ship Around!: A True Story of Turning Followers Into Leaders by L. David Marquet
